Local restaurants have been hit by a small crime wave lately. Jeff Good posted this message and security camera photos on his public Facebook page:
I REALLY hate to use Facebook this way, but... we have to.
There has been a crime wave where a very agile and crafty thief has been breaking into area restaurants by turning off all power to the building, CUTTING A HOLE in the roof (through the AC units, through the kitchen vent hood, through any access he can find) and DROPPING IN THROUGH THE CEILING, and looking for cash and valuables. A number of restaurants and shops have been hit in the Jackson area.
Attached, please find some pictures from video surveillance. He is a white mail, tattoo down the right arm, may be balding a bit on top. Be sure to click through ALL the pictures.. there are inside and outside shots.. close up and far away. Recognize this man? Please contact Commander James McGowan of the Jackson Police Dept. 601.960.1234 or jmcgowan@city.jackson.ms.

White mail, huh? Should be easy to catch --- watch your malebox! Derp.
Is it 2 different guys, or the guy change shirts at some point? Black shirt in some pics, light colored shirt in other pics.
Same poor resolution as the last security camera footage that was on this site. Does anyone actually get a conviction using such blurry footage?
The story line says he has broken into several restaurants dumbass. He probably changes clothes periodically. You reckon?
Not very good photos, looks like the Joker

Jeff JPD arrested a white dude who is all tatted up last night on Hawthorne....go check out his mug shots and see if he is the guy....neighbors said he was small...white.....and really messed up....
isn't it possible to have a back-up power source for these cams in case the power is cut?
Hey 1:49 PM, I sure wish that you were a detective on my dream team, not.
ZOMBIE!!!!! I knew this day would come. Time to bug out.
Easy. Just go scope out the sams lounge and that dump of a hotel where they found the dead body couple weeks ago from drug od. I'm sure he hangs there.
Hey 2:08, this is "dumbass". Yes, there are been multiple incidents at multiple restaurants, but all of these images are from the same burglary at the same restaurant. Either the guy changed shirts in the middle of the burglary, or there were 2 guys.
And you have all these 'factoids', how?
That looks like the front counter at Beatty Street.
Isn't Jeff Good one of the owners of Sal and Mookies? They were in big support of Stokes' comments about throwing rocks and bricks at the police.
@ 8:26 FALSE.
12:50, at least we can rule out manila envelopes as potential suspects.
Hey 5:32, I've got the "factoids" because I took these screenshots with my very own cell phone from the security camera footage and sent them to Jeff Good. He then posted them on social media, and Kingfish subsequently picked up the story. That being said, I do feel like a "dumbass" for not noticing the different color tshirts before now.
@9:13 I am the poster at 8:26. I asked the manager of Sal and Mookies what he thought about Stokes' comments (a day or so after Stokes made them) and he said they were 100% in agreement with Stokes. He said he felt that outside law enforcement has no business being in Jackson. When I asked if his ownership felt the same way, he said they absolutely did. Admittedly I did not talk to Good himself. I called Good because I thought he was the owner and he never returned my call.
I can mark Sal and Mookies off of my list of places to go.
@ 11:36 - Where else can one pay close to $30 a pitcher for beer made a few blocks away?
their PBR pitchers are a good deal.
I made the mistake of getting a craft beer large pitcher once and wow, 12:43 I agree it was a $27 pitcher. I could not believe it.
I guess they have New York beer there too.
It's a good place though.
The intruder actually looks a little like Jeffie. It might be a publicity stunt. Or it could be Jerry Lake who wrote the book on how to get the most out of holes in the roof.
Just to clarify for those questioning whether he changed shirts or whether there was maybe more than 1 suspect, the answer is neither. The interior footage was in night vision, therefore making his dark colored shirt look white. All the dark colored stuff he has all over him after he gets inside is actually white sheetrock dust from busting through the ceiling. The outdoor camera footage was not in night vision.
