Google is rolling out the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro in early October so it is clearing out its stock of the 7 Pro. If you want to pick up an unlocked flagship phone on the cheap, this is not a bad way to go.
Google marked the Pixel 7 Pro down to $649 on its website and at Best Buy.
The Pixel 7 Pro has similar or superior specs to the Galaxy Ultra and iPhone pros. The top Android phones are the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Pixel 7 Pro, and the Oneplus 11. However, the Oneplus 11 is not compatible with smaller carriers such as Cspire and Xfinity Mobile while the Ultra starts at a cheap $1,200 for the base 256 gb model. The P7P 256 gb model is marked down to $750, still much cheaper than the Ultra.
Selling points:
* 12 gb of RAM for all pros. One must buy the 512 gb Ultra to get that much RAM and spend over $1,300. The iPhone? The 15 pros have a whopping 8 gb.
* Cleaner experience as there is no bloatware found on other phones, right Samsung?
* Cameras. The Pixels probably have the best cameras of all for one reason: software. Google probably has the best camera software out of all smartphone manufacturers. The camera is probably where the 7 Pro probably kicks the ass of the competition. Reviews constantly place the Pixel cameras of those of the Galaxies and iPhones.
The Ultra will beat the 7P on other features but, and there is a but, the phone cost double what the 7P costs now.
* Where Google excels is software and that includes the Pixel's AI and Google Assistant (voice). The Oneplus 11 is a spec powerhouse yet falls woefully behind and software and updates. Speaking of updates....
* 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches. Pixels get all updates and patches before other phones do.
* Yes, the phone works flawlessly with AirPods.
* Weak point: Gaming? Probably not your phone. ;-)
The phone does have a curved screen, a feature that is not for everyone.
The techies will probably shred this post but go ahead. I'm just a regular guy who is making deals known to readers when I come across them.
The phone may not have been attractive at $899 or more but at $650, it's a pretty good deal.

Thank you for the info. I had been wondering about the camera quality. This answers a lot of questions.
Girls with iPhones don’t reply to guys with Android.
Green text bubbles= poverty
This is a simple fact.
Also, how can you argue specs are better when you don’t list the data bus, the SOC, and the NAND generation for the components?
There is a reason electronics get marked down.
It is called obsolescence!
A new generation of faster and more efficient ARM SOCs and NAND flash are on the market.
For the boomers, it’s like new Mustangs and Camaros getting release with 50% more horsepower and fuel economy. And the car dealers have to mark down the last model because it is simply obsolete.
Yea the old muscle cars technically still “run” but they are less performant.
Yeah. That is why the resale value of the S22 Ultra is still pretty close to the new Ultras. I'm pretty sure a year later an iPhone 14 Pro will still be a pretty damn good phone. You're trying to hard with the snark.
@KF
Yeah just like used car prices have been at an all-time high for the last 3 years and the same cars have been sitting on the lot since 2022. Ain't nobody buying that shit.
Companies paid too much for stuff during the pandemic and the prices are being manipulated.
I really like my potato phone.
Will get another potato phone when I have to, there are always lots to choose from.
I have bookmarked this excellent review in case I ever decide to operate a multimedia empire like JJ, don't think I can get that done on a potato.
1:01, KF listed specs that are relevant to normal users, the specs you listed aren’t. Lighten up - don’t let your anonymity cause you to loose your civility.
dear millennial @1:01 - learn how to type and spell with your Fisher-Price iphone before you respond next time.
You need to add a tag to this post: “ This post is a paid advertisement. “
Ewww green bubbles, don’t text me
@3:27 - I hope Bill Dees won't consider this libelous, but it's entirely possible that Kingfish DID get a free phone for starting this thread.
It's 3:20 for the win.........
Hey 1:01…3:20 put your ass straight. I’m a boomer. Guess what. It’s boomers who build the plants that make your toys, your offices buildings where you attempt to work and made it where your sorry asses have a roof over your head. We existed without all of this shit before your smart asses came along and lived quite well if I might say. Our world was different and better. Wanna lay money on it punk? We didn’t have to live with toting a gun around for protection because we valued life and respect for others. Y’all might want to try that sometimes. Don’t open up that can of worms if you can’t handle it….You’re welcome.
I'm holding out for next Blackberry model.
The trolls are out. No freebie for me. Damn. Patriots coming back. 1:20 to go. Oops, Jones got sacked. I just come across decent deals from time to time and make you guys aware of them. Just being nice.
@8:07pm - It’s way past your bedtime at the nursing home, gramps.
1:01 - 60 year old boomer here. I write apps for android, ios, windows, linux, unix, and websites. Us boomers are still using the things we invented, the things our parents invented, and the things the generations before them invented. But, I can't think of a thing I am using that any later generation invented.
I’m not trolling KF.
It’s just that tech isn’t your lane.
It’s not a deal, it’s e-Waste!
LOL @ KF
It doesn’t get more mid than helping Google unload their eWaste FOR FREE!
Hey 1:01, hate to "burst your bubble" but in case you didn't know you can make the "bubble" any color you want w/ a couple button pushes so most girls have probably turned your bubbles to green by now.............
My Google Pixel 6 Pro is the worst cell phone decision I ever made. I could go on and on about its shortcomings, but you can believe I'm dumping it as soon as it's paid for.
6's had problems, won't argue with you cuz you are right. 6a came out nearly a year later and was much better. 7's should have been the 6's. I've had the 7 Pro for six months now and it has been pretty good. None of the problems complained about in the 6's, including the fingerprint sensor.
