Bins, boxes, containers. Flood victims in Louisiana need them. I saw it first-hand this weekend. They are trying to salvage what they can and often don't have anything for storage.

That is what we saw as well. Water, food and gas could be obtained but was some drive away. Ice was very hard to come by. Sightseers stay out! You are compounding the traffic situation and absorbing already strained resources.
Madison United Methodist and the Madison Chamber of Commerce are taking a Truck Thursday to Louisiana. Items can be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce Office on Main Street or the church on Main Street. Items needed-box cutters, Heavy Duty garbage bags, rubber gloves, clorox, mop buckets, battery operated fans and batteries of all types. Food items- gatorade, peanut butter, mac and cheese, boxed cereal. Remember there is no power in these areas.
Worked all weekend in St. Amant. Lowes has mountains of the big industrial garbage bags and clorox. They were very well stocked of fans and other items too. We were in Lowes Sunday morning and it was hardly anyone in there. It seems most people are exiting the clean out phase and well into if not completing the drywall/flooring demolition phase. So whats next is the question. Food was everywhere. Ice was no where to be found.
Yes but Lowe's on Millersville was flooded out as was the Super Target next door. Lowe's had 18 wheelers in the parking lot though.
Storage bins with duct tape.
Peanut Butter Crackers
Water (cheapest stuff is at academy sports)
hand sanitizer
triple antibiotic ointment(any scratch can turn into a serious problem)
You can also make donations for flood relief through the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. Here is the link for more information:

Please keep in mind that Crosby, MS was hit hard and it was announced today that they will NOT be receiving any federal relief money. 200 of of the 318 residents of Crosby have experienced some type of property damage as a result of the flooding.
