That’s nice and all, nothing in this video shows any special skill or talent that most other QBs his age don’t already have.

hahahaha are you serious?

Any before pictures/films as seems indicated?

WOW! Looks like a high schooler

11:31 unusual comment/opinion. Nice to see a 7th grader (approx 13 years old) participating, practicing sports and apparently excelling at it. And playing outside. BWC

Kid looks good, and probably did improve going to this private QB coach just like MANY kids would with individual instruction.

He can move his feet. His arm may be great but the video doesn't show the arm off well.

He could be great. Whole lotta physical and head matters to develop (or not) over the next few years.

Proof is in the pudding...I hope he does well but we will see in August.

Hope he turns out. I coached junior high football and remember how some kids looked like all Americans while working out in shorts and t shirts. It’s a different game with the pads on.

The comments are a great way to show who peaked in maturity in Junior High. Lord.

11:31 What were you doing in the 7th grade.

this kid is special - should check out his record last season (hung 50+ against us). Will be one to watch

Regular reader sent me the video of his grandson. I posted it online as I thought it was cool and to change up the coverage a little as most media outlets do.

Having written that, I can't believe some of the comments. Everyone turned into a critic of a 12 year old kid.

One clown accused me of posting a video of a deep pocket donor's kid. Um yeah. One jackass said something about seventh graders being held back for development. SOmeone had to trash Hartfield as if they had anything to do with the post. One sourpuss had to say he sucks. Completely classy. Apparently some people are threatened by a video of a kid throwing a football and have to put their inferiority complexes on display.

I’ve seen this kid play in person several times. He plays at a different speed than the other kids on the field and has no fear of being hit!
These are simple drills for sure and they do not show off his release, arm strength or speed! This kid is going to be the real deal if he keeps growing and improving!

He put a 62 spot on Prep. I promise you we know who he is. We cut the scoreboard off before the game was over. Only thing you can hope for is that he is an early bloomer and kids catch up. That kid and another 2 or 3 for them were ballers.

You can sure tell the daddy ball teams that Jaxon and his squad has beat like a drum. all the daddies commenting!! Get em Jax!!! If your going trash a 13 year old or even have anything to say negative about an awesome kid on and off the field, have the stones to leave your name. "Anonymous" cowards.

@3:22 Hell, Hartfield’s 5th grade could hang 60+ on that 7th grade bunch at Prep.

There's a reason why Prep doesn't move over to play tougher competition in the public school leagues.

So many negative people trolling here. Trashing a 7th grader. Why? What possible reason (or enjoyment God forbid) would you have to be shitty regarding a kid? So many assholes here 24/7/365.

So we have criticism of a talented kid and the usual resentment of Prep of all things. I guess you can’t fix small-mindedness and jealousy. Try to think positively folks. Celebrate this kid doing what he enjoys. No need to get all bent out of shape about Prep. Great school academically and in athletics.

Remember Jimmy Clausen? Didn't think so. He was hailed as the next Peyton Manning when he was in 8th grade. Barely stayed for a cup of coffee in the League.

Meanwhile, no one knew who Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady was until their last year of college.

Football--quarterback especially--is different from every other sport in that you really don't know who the great ones will be when they're young.

The NFL is the only professional sports league dominated by late bloomers.

If he was Peyton's kid some of you would have held back the negative comments. I see natural talent emerging from this young man. Stay diligent young fellow. It'll pay off.

Lots of the posts reflect those of typical Old Myth comments any time the subject of football comes up. Instant experts and critics and fore-tellers of the future. Classic Old Myth.

And then there are those comments from the gang who rarely got up off the pine or even dressed out. They're usually the tailgate-experts who swill Mic Ultra and grill wings and watch the game powered by a Honda generator.

Oh...and this: Each of you know which you are.

This YOUNG MAN gives me assurance that the future of this great country has hope. God Bless all of the football players, at every level, and every single thing they do, to keep this country going. And the coaches, too! Thank God enough of us followed the advice of the great coaches like Saban and Orgeron last summer, to save the football season. And it was football, football, football, that saved our country in process! The 2020 football season was the glue that held the United States together, and now Spring football of 2021 is already upon us as we follow all of the position battles and workouts, 24/7. I would write more, but the Finebaum show starts in less than 45 minutes - oh what a cardinal sin it would be to miss one second of it.

Football never sleeps, FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS! And for the ELITE PLAYER featured in this post, we look forward to following all of his progress and recruiting profile as he works day in and day out.

I wish nothing but the best for this young man! Let’s hope a great University gives him a shot. It seems like the universities sway toward the public school system. This guy has natural talent

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
