The Clinton Police Department issued the following statement.
The
suspects arrived at the business in a silver Acura. Once in the parking
lot, the suspects proceeded to the restaurant bar. Once the suspects
left the
restaurant, they gained forced entry into a white Chevrolet truck with
two CPSD Apple computers that had been left in plain site on the front
seats.
CPD reminds residents to secure and hide valuables if they must be left in a vehicle.

Lol, whoever turns that laptop on is f*cked.
Person from CPSD who left them in the car, at a bar at night, clear sight in their car should be fired for stupidity
Pretty good pictures
Bet they get caught and laptops gone and they skate away
Looking at that photo of the suspects in the bar I have to ask...
You could positively identify the defendants for a moment of two seconds
looking through this dirty window, this crud-covered screen,
these trees with all these leaves on them, and I don't know how many bushes?
They were covid safe. Good for them.
I don't condone theft, but when are people going to stop giving invitations to criminals to steal their sh*t? Give them some kind of pause by hiding anything that even looks valuable. I have to tell my wife this all the time!
Hopefully these guys will be caught rather quickly.
Clinton, where teetotalers and thugs live in harmony.

EXACTLY! People are not supposed to steal but they do. Making it easier for them isn’t helpful. Hate it happened but you can’t make those kind of mistakes.
3:53, clearly somebody who grew up in south jackson and then lived in Clinton for six months before taking out a giant mortgage you can’t afford in Madison.. Hope you feel great after your anonymous internet posts. People with actual means would not post such things. And screw Phillip Gunn. Clinton has the same intoxicators you do.
@5:50 - Not leaving valuables in plain sight in your vehicle is common sense and personal responsibility. No one should break into cars, but if you leave electronics, jewelry, guns or other weapons clearly visible in your vehicle, then you are providing an opportunity for a thief. Don't even get me started on the idiots who leave handguns in unlocked cars.
PS - I live and work in Madison and rarely venture into the city of Jackson. Even in Madison and Rankin counties, I lock up/hide my belongings because I was taught that if I value them, they either shouldn't be in plain sight or in my vehicle at all. Personal responsibility and good judgment seem to be sadly lacking these days.
@3:22p- All CPSD secondary students have Macbooks. (All Elementary students have Ipads.) Given that there were TWO laptops in the vehicle, it's much more likely they belonged to student(s). But, kudos to you for wanting to fire someone without understanding the situation.
