Bill Maher took on the Trophy Generation, Paris Hilton, and Rolling Stone Friday night. Prepare to laugh.

Never thought I would say this, but I'm agreeing with
Bill Maher every week.
Perhaps the ghost of Rush Limbaugh has taken over Maher's soul.
...life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.. We have managed to raise a generation of brats who think it says ...life, liberty, and happiness.. Happiness is supposed to be a right guaranteed. Something is wrong with society if I am not granted happiness. I couldn't agree with Maher more.
God help us.
He's turning into a Republican but won't admit it.
Does it strike anyone else that when the president is a Democrat, attention of the folks like Maher goes toward something conservatives find noteworthy?
Could it be there's more time since flailing at a Republican president is off-the-table?

Eventually even some of the more sane liberals recognize that the progressive agenda is not based on logic and objective reality.
There is nothing more obnoxious than boomers complaining about the “trophy generation.” Who gave those kids the trophies? I don’t see kids demanding trophies.
Perhaps it was the self-absorbed parents that needed something to brag about to their friends. I think you’d be amazed that those “trophy generation” kids are way harder on their kids than their own insecure parents were. The “trophy generation” realized that the trophies were stupid pretty quickly, and that it’s a cut throat world out there. It’s the “trophy giving” generation that is still living in a fantasy land.
Bill Maher is just a sad old man trying to find a viewer as his fades into obscurity.
Maher is reacting like many moderate liberals will soon react to the so-called progressive wave now sweeping the media and the country. They will find that the radical nuts have no stopping point and will continue their push beyond absurdity until there are no limits, no respect, no values, and no judgment. We should all have everything while giving up nothing. Anything less is just not fair. And we must be fair. Ain't life supposed to be fair?
It gets worse Bill.
Boomers? More like the X'ers.
He has never been more right.
Should be required listening for all gen x-ers. BTW, did you notice the audience was applauding? Could they also be moving, subconsiously, to the right, too?
Sorry 8:44 they aren't moving to the right. It's just that even they aren't prepared to move so faaaar to the left as the current elites are taking young people. The cancel culture, BLM, socialist Dems, Antifa, and the rest are not bent on change but radical upheaval. They WERE just fringe wackos, they are now dictating policy. Even Maher is getting nervous.
Maher is a liberal, not a leftist. He doesn't want subjugation, he wants freedom. He understands that the leftists seek total and complete control and will eventually come for everyone regardless of their position on the spectrum. We've seen this countless times before in history and it will end badly.
As a gen x'er, I hate participation trophies. I hate snacks after the game too. If they have fun and work hard, that should be enough. If the team wins the "league", then give them trophies. Otherwise, recognize a couple of kids for their efforts for the season, and tell all of them to work harder in the off-season to improve. This "everybody gets a trophy/award" is utter crap.
