If I recall correctly you like Tinseltown right now KF?
Popcorn fresh, not reheated, screen assigned for the classic movies seems larger at Tinseltown.
What a classic film
"Back in the day" ... ABC used to show this movie in it's entirety on a Sunday night ... a few weeks before Passover & Easter.
I'm actually surprised it's still around for viewing. I assumed it had been "cancelled" or buried in a "vault" somewhere.
Back in the 60's & 70's, the nation tuned in to watch this (once a year) movie . . . just like they stopped everything to watch "The Wizard of Oz".
Gawd, I even remember my parents hosting what are now called watch parties.
The men would naturally get bored and move to the patio after the first hour.
There they would chain smoke, get drunk, and argue about how 1950's Hollywood special effects created the
parting of the Red Sea.
LOL !
But no one was stabbed or shot.
Those were the days my friend, we thought they'ed never end.
One of my favorite characters of all time was Yul Brenner's Ramses. He plays a guy whose arrogance would allow him to destroy the whole world to save his own pride. "His God is God" Classic.
Yul Brenner was a great actor in every film that he was a part of ...
My favorite Yul Brenner (Ramses) quote within the "Ten Commanments" has always been:
SO IT IS WRITTEN ! SO SHALL IT BE DONE !!!
What a great classic movie.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but that movie has been on TV once OT twice?
Do any of the theaters use actual film reels or is it all just digital? I’d pay more to see actual film.
4:29 - add Peter Pan to the once-a-year shows on Sunday nights.
I'll watch it like I always do. From the comfort of my recliner. It's on this Saturday night (April 3) on ABC TV at 6pm. Happy Palm Sunday and Holy Week. Jesus has arrived in Jerusalem. Amen and Amen.
Please let us know when Planes, Trains and Automobiles will be coming to town. And Coal Miner's Daughter. Two favorites.
Will this be labeled as a "Problematic Movie"?
