Projection @ rate = 150 murders YE.
Next
"Perception of Crime."
Will the mayor blame the murder rate on:
1. The water problem,
2. The pandemic,
3. Gun shows,
4. The economy,
5. Residents moving to Madison and Rankin counties, or
6. Trump and the Republicans?
Kane Ditto shoulda did sumpin'
"A deceased male was discovered just before 11am at a park". Must be a shit load of folks with bankers hours in that area.
So 37 murders in the first quarter. That puts Jacktown on track for 148 for the year. But maybe, just maybe, with Lumumba's promised support the Murder Bar will stay in business and will pump out a couple extra corpses to make it an even 150!
Come on, Jackson! Yes, we can!
the mayor will get re-elected.
he’s on the take. stokes is right.
We don’t have this problem in Flowood.
Here's the problem. If they do reach 150 murders this year I would wager not a single one will have been committed by a first time offender. I would also wager that over half will have been committed by perps that should have already been incarcerated at the time they killed someone. I'm sorry but if the Jackson voters keep voting to bring this on themselves then let them rot in their self created hell hole. I just wish we could somehow keep them out of the surrounding counties.
Shouldn't JPD have said Battlefield Park, rather than "a park"?
I smells a rat in sewer-city!
2:20 & 2:58 PM, don't forget. Chokedup has got the blessing of Comrade Bernie Sanders the give away baron (with his lets give away everybody's money but his, he ought to be on a game show like the Price Is Right).
So he ain't got time for that other shit of dead bodies in the park, sewage flowing freely down the impassable streets and water maybe, yes, no, could be by.....
And he's to busy running Jackson (in the ground) day to day.
But the mayor & police chief have a plan to crush crime - try to imagine how much worse things would be without that plan
2:50...the quarter ain't over yet!
Well, I'm sad that another soul has been found dead ... but why is this news ?
Just a typical day in Jackson.
At least the youth curfew is working - no teenagers have shot each other in days now
@5:03PM
So what, you don’t want Jackson’s crime to be reported?
Better yet, what do you consider as news? Weather? Politics? Sports?
Wonder how many were listed as Covid related?
Yes the population in Jackson should give up all their firearms because all is well. Some crazy people think you should be able to defend themselves before the crime has been committed and not worry about calling the police after. Silly people.
"If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge* nor jury. Therefore, what he must be taught to fear is his victim."

Another lonely park, another Wednesday
Why is it life turns out that way
Just when you think you got a good thing
It seems to slip away
Bernie Sanders has endorsed Lumumba for re-election. All's well in Jacktown.
Be patient. We should know in 13 months what the autopsy shows. they're stacked up like cord-wood.
Gerrymandering being what it is, are Battlefield Park and Hanging Moss Road in the same hood-turf?
No, not near each other nor connected in any way
