A reader sent a rather nice email and pictures about JXN Water:
Jxn Water is getting it right. I called in a suspicious water flow yesterday (KF: Saturday). They were out within an hour investigating & repairing today.
The repair took place on Forest Park Drive.

Look at them go! providing basic services furnished by the tax payers
I want to cheer for this progress but I am sure sister Rukia will explain soon why this repair is actually a racist set-back that citizens should be protesting.
They haven't responded to my emails, calls or messages for months. Seems like not much has changed.
There was a leak in front of my downtown church for several years. It was reported on many, many occasions and nothing was done.
After JXN Water fixed the big leaks, lo and behold, this one was also fixed.
Just goes to show what a competent leader who cares can get done. Thanks Ted!
Yes let us all cheer for the basic services that everyone else surrounding Jackson considers normal!
What number did this reader call? Because 601-960-2000 has been experiencing a "technical problem" for weeks.
Call 601-500-5200 but they don't fix residential issues fast. Takes a while.
Miracles in the fourth world,
Where mayor and sister hurled
Race bombs, lies and excuses,
But thrive on public abuses.
On Fortification westbound left lane between Quinn and Monroe is a dip in the pavement looks like it’s hiding a sinkhole. There are scrapes on the asphalt where vehicles have bottomed out if they were traveling too fast at that point, looks like. I pass it once a week and it looks bigger and deeper every time, this wave in the pavement. It’ll be big enough to swallow a box truck. Anybody else noticed that besides just me?
9:20- haven’t heard of anyone calling Jx Water & not getting a response! Guessing you are an outlier or a complainer!
10:16 - This is about sewer repairs. Road work is still under the city and as usual, nothing's fucking being repaired in that department.
Lumumba doesn’t care if he can’t monetize it. Nice job Ted and team. Thank you.
We sure could use a little good news today - Anne Murray.
Thank you for posting this.

Last week an eroding cut-away, two feet deep, extending three feet wide by ten feet long into East traffic lane of Pear Orchard, close to Walgreens, South of County Line, was finally and properly repaired. It was rolled and tapered, appears a first class fix.
I call bullshit on 9:20 - I’ve called JXN Water a few times on two issues and they have been very responsive. 9:20 has not tried to contact them, but simply hates to see them getting good press. Sorry, 9:20, but Ted is doing a much better job than Chickweed was.
Have Mayor Rukia and Asst. Mayor Chowke taken credit for this yet? Held a presser? Called CNN and MSNBC?
There was a major leak across from my house last week. I called the emergency number, was answered between the first and second rings, and the repair was made before I left for work.
Please tell me that is not raw boo-boo floating on top of the water under the bridge.
@4:20. I believe what you are seeing is leaf and branch type debris, but raw boo-boo cannot be ruled out. But, then again, what can you do about that now. So much raw boo-boo has been running out of this open sewer known as Jackson into the Pearl River and all the way down to the coast for years now.
4:20 - That's not raw boo-boo floating on top of the water under the bridge.
It’s amazing what federal grant $$$$$ can do for a water system!!! Half or more of those commenting on here could do what Ted does for half the price!!!
While ole Chuck is holding a party to celebrate his people during the water crisis. A real leader is getting things done. Thank you JXN Water. Who holds a party for the crew of the titanic???????? Only our new world order leader does.
@ 7:59 PM - It's not actual funding, but the change in leadership. And, no - not just anyone can do the job, Rukia.
It is my opinion, that Mr.Henifin is slowly, but inexorably, dragging Jackson from the clutches of third world status. Even though the marxist mayor, and his cabal, do all within their power to hinder, even resorting to supposed sabotage. If not for the continued support of the federal magistrate, Judge Wingate, I could see them succeeding. Judge Wingate, should be applauded along with Mr. Henifin. I give thanks to both.
Is Chowke's crew still maliciously opening hydrants?
What's up with what appears to be a hoard of quickrete bags stacked up in the photo and, if not a drain, what's the purpose of....the drain?
I called the new number yesterday to report water coming up out of the street. Drove my this morning, its fixed. I was dumbfounded. Fantastic job. Lady who answered the phone when I reported: 2 or 3 rings, took information, no problem at all, very nice. Thank you to Judge Wingate, Ted H, and all the people at JxWater.
Incompetence seems to plague everyone in the City that’s evolving. Jackson, Mississippi
