Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

This is going to be interesting to say the least....
Espy summarily terminated the employment of all white supervisory city officials as one of his first acts as mayor. Allegedly, when questioned about this move (which he has the legal right to do as mayor) he stated that the black people elected me, so I am going to honor them (paraphrase). I suspect that the city will be receiving EEOC notice of allegations in the short term.
Carlos Moore being a judge of anything is ridiculous.
Espy will prove to be very good thing for the cities of Lyon, Merigold and Cleveland.
Don't you have to live there to be a municipal judge? Carlos lives in Grenada.
ABSURDITY at the highest level. Sad for a once proud Delta city.
The consequences of history.
Maybe in another generation they'll finally decide to work together and build up the piece of mud the two groups are fighting over.
As Barack said, "We won. Y'all get to sit in the back of the bus."
Section 21-3-5 of the Mississippi Code says:
§ 21-23-5. Appointment of municipal judge in certain municipalities; qualifications
In any municipality having a population of less than ten thousand (10,000) according to the latest available federal census, it shall be discretionary with the governing authorities of the municipality as to whether or not a municipal judge or a prosecuting attorney, or both, shall be appointed. If the authorities of any municipality having a population of less than twenty thousand (20,000) according to the latest available federal census appoint a municipal judge, he shall be an attorney licensed in the State of Mississippi or a justice court judge of the county in which the municipality is located. The mayor or mayor pro tempore shall not serve as a municipal judge.
Clarksdale had a population of 17,962 in 2010.
Anyone found guilty by Judge Moore could appeal the conviction on the basis he had no authority to serve. Don't you just hate it when the law gets in the way of a perfectly good appointment?
I guess ex mayor Bill Luckett will pack up his family and move to Madison. Ground Zero will become a real ground zero pretty soon.
I hope the people the mayor fired have hired an attorney. I'm sure they have saved that quote. I'm wondering if the media has quizzed him further on this.
Sad what espy did to get elected. Funny that he actually ran against Bennie once upon a time. Then built a reputation as a black legislator who could actually work with white people. He then proceeds to lose the mayor's race in 2013 and decides a complete 180 is needed. But like in Jackson, it's what the people wanted.

I hate it when the word "or" gets in the way of a code section.
That quote will make national news. NBC ABC the NYT will be all over it. National Democrats will be telling him to apologize for using such racists language. Just like the Carroll County Legislator.
BOOM!!!
Chuck probably put that white check mark sign in the mayors office. You would have to be a fool to do something like that because blacks have more rights than whites. Give me a break.. The thing is with black leadership they don't do anything to help the black community to improve the quality of life. What did Obama do for the poor blacks give them cheap cell phones.. When I hear black leaders talk about race that means nothing will get done. Chucky, you go live in the past while the rest of the state of Mississippi has moved on. have a good day.
Carlos is on his way! We live in an age when publicity (bad or good,) hucksterism,
and showmanship outstrip professionalism and integrity in the selection of so-called leadership. As long as Carlos stays out of jail and is not disbarred he's going to be a busy man. If you think about it, he's almost presidential.
"Allegedly, when questioned about this move he stated..." Since when does an alleged statement become an issue before it's verified. Espy may have no more made this statement than Obama made the statements attributed to him. Its bad enough that he made the idiotic decision to employ Carlos the clown.
The path Espy eventually had to take in order to get elected is likely why Priester will probably never be Mayor of Jackson. Unless you run as a race card Democrat you will not get elected.
6:13's approach is denial of two statements clearly on the record. Nice Try.

The Mississippi Delta is a JOKE! unemployment out the roof, no one wants to work or has the desire to work so what do you do? Yes, you appoint people who will be of service to themselves, get Bennie Thompson to send more money and cry cry cry because whitey gives us no opportunities to advance. Free money is like heroin....you get on it, you don't get off and you die that way! Anyway, remember Bennie and Chokwe, Sr belonged to that group called the republic of new africa or something like that and it is listed by the government as a terrorist group yet no one has the balls in Washington to say that to Bennie because he will pull the race card. Some of you older than me can probably give a better backstory to the Bennie/Chokwe relationship who might know a great deal more than I do about this. As long as Thompson is in office the Delta will slide further down the economic slope. His district swoops from the state lines North, West and down to Hinds County! Sad
As long as Thompson is in office the Delta will slide further down the economic slope.
Yep.
"Bennie and Chokwe, Sr belonged to that group called the republic of new Africa or something..."
Nope.
Please get your facts straight. Just because 90% of the people on this blog don't like Bennie doesn't mean any lie about him should pass. Facts will do.
Chuck Espy is a disgrace. Followed closely by anyone who agrees that his open racism is justified. Medgar Evers and Martin Luther King did NOT die for this kind of shite.
Bill Luckett can keep his "mule headed farmer" ass in Cahoma county. His white ass has played the race card more than most black people. We don't want him down here in Madison county.
TO: July 15 at 9:08 A.M.
I'm sure if you asked Judge William (Bill) Skinner he could refresh your memory. His dad, a Jackson police officer, was killed is a skirmish involving the Republic of New Africa which was the brainchild of Chokwe Sr. and also involved Bennie. If any of you have any doubts about this, ask around and better yet, check the legal records; it should all be there.
The members of the RNA who were involved in the shooting of Officer Skinner were prosecuted did jail time. Every black person who by word or deed defended the actions of the RNA as self-defense was not involved in the shooting, including Bennie. Chokwe Sr. was a member of the RNA but was not involved and never charged in the shooting. The leader of the RNA was Imari Obadele not Chokwe and it was never alleged by any credible source that the shooting was his "brainchild". Go ahead and hate Bennie and Chokwe but get your facts straight. Stop putting out bullshit information, some fools might believe it!
TO: July 17 at 2:45 PM
I distinctly remember both Chockwe, Sr. and Bennie being involved in the movement; did not say they were involved in the shooting; but, they were present when the shooting happened.
It's always refreshing to have those who walk among us who know everything and like to talk down to others. Feel better now?
People who spread falsehoods must be talked down to. Very dangerous to give them credibility. Although it is apparent that no one else is interested, you should still get your facts straight. Please do some research and don't rely on your memory. You'll find that neither Chokwe or Bennie was at Lewis Street when this incident happened. In the meantime there are plenty of other killings you can blame them for. Try again.
July 18 at 9:05 AM
I am really curious as to why you are so adamant on this issue; you would lead one to believe that you were present. Did you play a part and who/what are you trying to cover? It's obvious you have a reason to want this issue to go away.
I am really more concerned with this incompetent dude being a judge. First move was to remove the state flag from the court room. He has the masses frothing at the mouth with chants of "it's a new day". There was a shooting INSIDE Clarksdale Krogers. Will this be his first opportunity to introduce "catch and release" to Clarksdale and Coahoma county. Pray for my hometown.
July 18, 2:26 PM Really? Can you guys give it a rest. There is no "issue". Except maybe some Bennie Thompson fantasy you can't seem to shake. Prove it or forget it. Thank you.
