A so-called journalist at USA Today wrote this mindless politically-correct tripe about Dunkirk in his review:
Dunkirk is also one of the best-scored films in recent memory, and Hans Zimmer’s music plays as important a role as any character. With shades of Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, the melodies are glorious, yet Zimmer also creates an instrumental ticking-clock soundtrack that’s a propulsive force in the action scenes. The trio of timelines can be jarring a.s you figure out how they all fit, and the fact that there are only a couple of women and no lead actors of color may rub some the wrong way. Still, Nolan’s feat is undeniable: He’s made an immersive war movie that celebrates the good of mankind while also making it clear that no victory is without sacrifice.
Well, Mr. Brian Truitt, there was this monster called Hitler who had the little Master Race thing going on his side during the war. There probably weren't any Blacks or Mexicans fighting in the Wermacht or the SS. Jews? You do what happened to them, right? The Brits did use minority troops such as Indians and Blacks in The Great War but this time they had to worry about the Japs rampaging across the Pacific so those troops kind of needed to stay put at home.
A shame this snowflake can't be sent to the ISIS front.

According to Wiki the black population of modern day Ireland is 1.06% and I imagine it was less during WWII. Why do people want to interject race even where it is or was not an issue? I, for one, am tired of being made to feel like I owe an apology for times, places and events that occurred thousands of miles away or decades ago just because I'm white.
I'm afraid Stokes has taken the title from the journalist.
Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy is the only black Irishman that I know. His mother gave birth to him in the 50's to a very hostile Ireland. I'm sure they were around but I don't think Ireland ever had its own Tuskegee-type division. It would make a great GI Joe though.
Sheriff Bart's grandmother was Dutch. Does that count?
The Brits seem to know more about this battle than we do and so have noted this idiotic overreaction on our side of the pond.
As it turns out, Sir Paddy Ashton's father was initially court martialed for refusing to leave his Indian mule train troops out of the evacuation of Dunkirk. The courts martial was later rescinded. But, there were lots of Indian troops rescued.
And, of course, there were Irish women involved in the rescue ( everybody turned out) and the French had troops of color. The French are a little miffed that their stand that allowed the evacuation was overlooked.
Leave it to Breitbart to get the right riled up over the rather obvious observation, given the recent controversy in Hollywood, that "some" might "notice". How is that not the God's truth? Breitbart couldn't chance that might not happen and an opportunity to stir up the right would be lost.
I'm so tired of the left and the right making mountains out of molehills and then accusing the other of being emotional whiners...both sides are doing all they can to enrage the easily enraged.
What 1:00p.m. said!!!!!
