no red flags there
I know her, and she is very smart and committed to JPS, where her children attend. Great appointment!
The money that family makes, between Derrick holding two six figure jobs (NAACP and One Voice), and her being a lawyer (likely another six figure income). They're pulling in at least $300k per year.
Yes I'm jealous.
One Voice? You mean Johnson's slush fund?
Don't matter who sits on that board, Jackson is LOST.
I am not understanding the relevance of their income. People in Jackon cant make six figures?
Except that his "One Voice" income is tainted, this would not be an issue. A so-called 'charity' that Dilbert won't touch but does nothing but pay Derrick.
Add now to these two incomes his new position as the interim director of the national NAACP. Hell, might as well make him be the interim coach at Ole Miss.
I can assure you that if you have 2 kids or more and live in NE Jackson only making $300k a year then your likely never going to make it. School tuition is going to break you as well as country clubs and your wife out eating with her Jackson house wives club doesn't help.
Don't see why their salaries are an issue. I don't begrudge anyone a paycheck.
Looks like the mayor and Mr. Johnson have enough free time to go up to Canton to try and unionize the Nissan plant. Good to know he has enough free time to work on things outside of running the city.
Its not the salary, KF - its the source of the funds. The charity exists to fund Derrick, not for any charitable work. Don't care if the NAACP wants to waste its money on this radical, but do care if he wants to live in a tax-free world while he expouses his racist rants.
Is she better or worser than the person she is replacing? Only question I care about. Qualified people are not exactly lined up to take a spot on that board.
And some wonder why JPS is in the state it is in. You can't fix stupid!
This is a huge improvement, hopefully the airport board will have some good picks as well.
A majority of those that run for political office or serve as public servants are generally anything but that. He's a scam artist as are the overwhelming majority of "community activist"
Most planes today have jet engines on one wing and props on the other wing, planned for emergency use. Nobody on the Airport Board even knows this.
ahhh......colour me stupid. The intended point eludes me.
Letitia is a bright attorney and works really hard. If that is an indication of her appointment, then I believe it is good one.
