J. Harper, Jr. is deeply saddened to inform you that Allen made his transition
into heaven this morning at 8:52 AM. On Saturday, April 1, 2017, Allen was
involved in a motorcycle accident. We are relieved that his passing was peaceful

Harper was the best of the best. He will truly be missed.
Prayers for Officer Harper and his family. I interacted with him on several occasions and he was consistent with his calm and professional manner.
Sure, Jackson has its problems, but men like Harper make me proud to call Jackson home.
Godspeed
Enormous loss for Jackson.
The kind of guy who should have been mayor....but he was too smart to get in that mess.
Man I'm gonna miss him.
JPD and the citizens of Jackson have lost a true servant of the people. Corporal Harper was a shining example of a law enforcement officer.
Nothing negative about the officer or his family, certainly, but, his coverage with the city of Jackson (primarily workers' compensation) will pay his 'final medical expenses'. Persons injured or killed on the job in this state have no medical payment obligations and there are no charges to the family for organ donations.
@6:08, He was not on duty and was operating his personal motorcycle.
