The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued the following press release:
Four Arrested in Ridgeland Prostitution Sting
A joint investigation between the Ridgeland Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation’s (MBI) Special Operations Unit resulted in the arrest of four women who have been charged with prostitution. Even though the four individuals arrested are not victims of human trafficking, MBI is partnering with local and other state agencies to address the criminal enterprise of human trafficking, which was the case in the over-night operation with the Ridgeland Police Department.
In an effort to provide investigative information, techniques and strategies to local and state law enforcement agencies, MBI recently brought in experts from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) for a training seminar. GBI is widely considered one of the leading agencies in the country dealing with human trafficking. As a result of the seminar, nearly 100 city, county and state law enforcement officers received training in the detection and prosecution criminals who are involved in human trafficking.
The National Human Trafficking Resource Center in Washington D.C. reports eight cases of human trafficking during 2015. FBI statistics show human trafficking in Mississippi has risen 66 percent since 2009. Nationally, human trafficking is a 9.8-billion dollar a year industry and internationally 32-billion dollar annually.
The four women charged were being held in the Madison County Detention Center.

Lots of wasted verbiage in that press release about "human trafficking" considering that they state up front these four had nothing to do with human trafficking.
I thought the state Homeland Security Office was in charge of human trafficking - or did they manage to screw that up too?
8 cases in 2015 and that's up 66%?? I feel sorry for those women, they should also post photos of their johns
On the subject of whores...What in the hell is going on at the Clarion Hotel on I55 North? I have a storage unit at Uncle Bob's (next door) well, actually had because due to the trashy neighborhood I let it go.. Anyway, the parking lot is full of whores, pimps, homeless people, piles of garbage, trucks, loiterers and a wide assortment of characters. I tried to bring it up to the management at Uncle Bob's but they claimed not to have noticed the drug dealing and prostitution being conducted out in the open under their noses. What gives?
There goes my plans for Saturday night.
When I read the headlines I thought Pickering finally manned up and started prosecuting the political prostitutes running this state. What a disappointment to see 4 run of the mill hookers.
A hoe in every home....Addie Green for Ag Commissioner.
I'd hit none of that.
What a waste, on so many levels.
"Prostitution and promoting prostitution are punishable by a fine of up to $200, up to six months in jail, or both."
These women may've made sad choices, but if this is what RPD wastes its time on, then it's time to cut their budget.
7:27 Having slags like this plying their trade brings down housing values whereever they are, and leads to the spread of disease. That's why taxpayers want them gone.
Keep 'em in Jackson if you must - that town is toast already and can't get any worse.
I've gotta soak my phone in Tough Actin Tinnactin now.
Apparently RPD was too busy talking about human trafficking to name the women arrested.
8:37. is Ridgeland too close for comfort? these ladies were working madison county. not hinds, madison.
and yes, please post photos of the johns. that would end all this prostitution mess. remember that how many 'good' baptists and presbyterians who preach against adultery had ashley madison profiles
A reverse sting operation would work pretty well I believe to catch the johns.
