I'm really relieved they got a Serial Killer off the street.

What difference does it make if it was 15 seconds or 15 minutes? He was in Madison County when he murdered the lady.

There was another out of town shooting in Jackson less than two weeks ago. Paul Pence was robbed & shot. Paul was in Jackson on business. This is how the robbery went down. A gunman told him to give up his wallet. Paul gave the robber his wallet & said "You don't need my driver license can I keep it?" The robber said "You don't understand how this works, now turn around and start walking". Paul did that & was shot in the back multiple times.

Please tell me he was tweaking and not "twerking".

His pupils seem pretty small for someone coked out of his mind. Also, who eats it?

It's time to let male employees in JPS put these future thugs in their place before they commit crimes.

Just think about how messed up our education system is. This piece of crap was attending a state university.

Let the Jackson State, Millsaps, and Belhaven football alumni become teachers and show these cowards what true masculinity looks like.

A tale of two black men.

On one hand you have Zebulum James zipping around town in his hooptie pimpmobile, high on bath salts or some other crap, gunning down innocent people with a Tec-9 for no apparent reason other than he was twerkin'.

On the other you have Broderick Smith, college graduate and family man who was working for a living and doing his job, despite his misgivings about the area his company had assigned him to work. He was shot and killed because he couldn't open the safe for two hoodlums.

Now we have stories of how Zeb was a "nice guy" and people are shocked, where the only real attention Smith is getting is through social media.

This is pathetic.

contrary to common belief, the Hinds County / Madison County line does not run along the centerline of County Line Road. It meanders north and south and is not a straight line, particularly from I55 and west. If the kill zone was north of the line, its Madison County jurisdiction whether he was there 15 seconds or 15 minutes as referenced above. Madison County can't charge capital murder because there is no report of an underlying crime that would make that possible. This is plain murder, not matter how heinous.

Where are the riots and national media for this hate Crime?

Psh, if it had been a white man shooting random black women it'd be all over the national news...but because it's two white women nobody gives a shit. Fucking double standards. All lives matter. This guy should be tried in Madison County for a hate crime, because thats what it is pure and simple.

Probably because he didn't refer to the victims by race. Now if he had said "take this white bitch", then that might trigger the feds. Just blowing her away won't do it.

If the shooter hand been white and the victims black the Feds would already be opening an investigation and holding a news conference. Jackson is 82% black and 18% white, and he just happens to find two white female targets? Random? That dog won't hunt.

And how does JFP cover this story? 'Despite Hectic Night, Crime Rate Falling In Jackson.' They cannot even bring themselves to admit it happend.

Everybody, including me, jumps to conclusions before all the evidence is gathered. This just didn't make any sense to me at first. Now that I know he's paranoid schizophrenic, I can now put some kind of label on it, not that his condition matters to the families of those two ladies because their loss is devastating. What really scares me is we have no idea how many more mentally ill people are walking around with guns or any weapon. We are going to have to address mental illness in this state not matter the price or this will happen over and over again. I'm praying for all the families involved, including his. What he did has destroyed and hurt so many people.

He was a JSU student majoring in Civil Engineering. What's shocks me most is that people actually think that because he was at JSU it means he had a bright future.

10:16, you can be both mentally ill and intend evil. That's the issue with mental illness in our society. We dehumanize people dealing with it by always stripping their volition in the conversation.

Drug users develop mental illness and then get a pass from some because they were diagnosed with a mental problem.

If the person is ""sick"" enough to randomly shoot buses, houses, women, etc, then cull them out. No sense prolonging it.

Doesn't matter if we have stricter gun laws or don't allow the mentally ill to get guns. They will still get guns. Convicted felons are not suppose to have guns... but wow they get caught with them all the time. Some say if you are mentally ill you do not need to be allowed to buy a gun... guess what if they can/will say you are mentally ill to restrict you from a gun whether you are or not. If you have someone in your house taking anti-depression pills and this passes you wont be allowed a gun. If you have a history of mental illness of any kind you wont be allowed to carry weapons. Please do not bring this into the gun debate realm... if he had stabbed them to death would we be wanting all restaurants and home good stores to ban knifes... nope!
