Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

She's got my vote. Time to send Pickersham packing.
I'll likely vote for her just to get her out of the Mayor's chair in Madison.
I hope someone still has video of her stating her & her husband no longer had the money he had "allegedly" defrauded the lady in Texas, she said they could not pay money back as they had spent it. Would not vote for her if she was only one running.
She is going against the " big boss" boys.Mary is my vote also.
When you run for office they look in you closet. In the thirty year history of Madison which was on the brink of bankruptcy with a rooftop tax basis until retail found it's way to "work" with Mary. It may be a rougher ride than this very skilled politician had planned? So why is she running? You will soon know.
This is frightening on several levels.
Rudy, start packing, Mary Mary is coming for you!
Church is fixing to be out.....
Pickering is going to make Hawkins's husband's past land swindle which two people went to jail over a major issue in this campaign. Hard to fight corruption when your married to someone who was involved in a public corruption case. Or maybe it makes it easier. Who knows.
http://www.msnewsnow.com/story/2791190/fbi-da-disagree-on-butlers-indictment
That noise you hear is Stacey ejecting from this race. He is not going to run against any formidable opponent. He will have to explain what he spent $100,000 on last year!
Day 1, Pickering has lost the vote of Coast voters due to his handling of the DMR fiasco.
WIN OR LOSE it should get Mr. Pickering to thinking about doing things the right way and stop bowing down to the big money boys.
Voting for Mary Hawkins. Don't remember another public official as passionate about doing their job. She always has a goal of being "best" in her actions. Glad to support her.
Wait until the Jackson State folks get after for snubbing them when they opened their Madison Campus.
Mary has been a great mayor, but I am not sure she can beat a tough opponent statewide.
I look for Pickering to not run. He has very little campaign money and he is always groaning and moaning about how hard it is to live on the Auditor's salary.
This would be a disaster. Mary Hawkins Butler -- who suffers from paranoid delusions -- is the most ruthless politician in the state. She would use the office as a bludgeon against all her enemies, real and perceived.
The second cohort numbers in the thousands.
I heard Pickering wanted to replace Eric Clark as director of the community college board. Pay is better.
"Pickering is going to make Hawkins's husband's past land swindle which two people went to jail over a major issue in this campaign. Hard to fight corruption when your married to someone who was involved in a public corruption case. Or maybe it makes it easier. Who knows," February 9, 2015 at 10:27 AM
You know very well that it was not "Hawkins's (sic) husband's past land swindle." Jim Butler REPORTED the swindle.
But you know that. What you DON'T seem to know, is how to pluralize Hawkins.
You may be onto something 11:09 AM. Maybe Pickering won't run and once out of office the MSGOP elites will work it out to give him some sort of Tommy Robertson parachute for doing everything he could to carry their DMR water.
If you want a known liar in office vote for the queen,. She lied about something as trivial as putting a wireframe Christmas decoration on your roof. It was:
A safety hazard
Against code
Not christmas.
If she will lie about this and spending fraud money, what else will she lie about.
That being said, she gets my vote only to get her of of city hall.
Butler was not the "ringleader" in the swindle, but he participated and put a share of the proceeds in his pocket and never paid it back. He got indicted, but it turned out a rogue FBI agent had given him "immunity". Butler was just as guilty as the others, and thanks to his wife, was the only one that didn't get punished in some form or fashion.
"You know very well that it was not "Hawkins's (sic) husband's past land swindle." Jim Butler REPORTED the swindle."
Sorry Skippy - his guilty plea is a matter of public record.
Now, the question is: did she cosign his fraudulent income tax return (i.e., "married, filing jointly")? If so, why wasn't she also charged with income tax evasion?
God help us all.
She will go after the big wigs whereas Pickering would not. Go MAry go.
Count me in the anyone but Stacey camp.
Now who's running against hairspray Jim?
I select my candidates based on their hair style. I guess Mary will get my vote....although toning down those bleached curls would ensure it. Maybe a few low lites...
Big boy crooks already trying to damage Mayor Mary. Shame, shame!!
What a JOKE!!!!!!
How about a third choice? Who else...
It will be interesting to see where the money comes from to support her in a statewide election. She has spent years pissing off developers, contractors, lawyers, businessmen, etc. Last time I checked these were the primary backers of campaigns. Its one thing to run in small town Mississippi. Its another to run a statewide campaign. Any ideas??
12:14 sorry, Skippy, Butler did not plead guilty. Richardson did, but Butler's case was dismissed because of unauthorized actions by a single FBI agent. he was not punished at all nor required to make restitution.
Madam Mayor Mary's troll's are on the loose today.
10:58...All those JSU folks are definitely going to vote for Pickering over Mayor Mary when they vote in the Republican primary. Yeah, right.
I must be doing something wrong. No one ever gives me $320,000
She is going to have to stop back stabbing Joel Bomgar and the rest of the tea party. She will need all of the votes she can get.
Guess the Queen wanted to be the talk of the town and the funeral whispers at Alan Nunnelee's funeral or maybe she decided to scare Pick out of the race.
Everybody hates no. 1. She is hands down the best politician in the state who works for the voters best interest in mind. Anyone who would say negative comments about her couldn't begin to understand the wonders it took to for her to make Madison probably the best city in Mississippi .she doesn't say what you want her to say , she says what she believes and does it. Yes, pick # 2 will run from this race because what he may have in his pockets could be far worse than Rudy will want anyone to know, I don't want her to leave Madison but as you've guessed, she will have my vote.
Madison is Mary's own little Potemkin village...
@4:41. When Joel sent out an email with Mary name on it, like he did with Supt Ronnie MaGehee, saying she supported him when she never said that, it pissed her off and well it should. That boy ain't got the sense God gave a goose.
Mary is about to find out just how small of a bubble she lives in. The queen bee will be sent back to her little hive disappointed.
And she isn't running for this office because she wants to, there is corruption in Madison COUNTY. only the auditors office can uncover it, funny it hasn't been done so far, but the time has come and I can't wait for the explanations from mr. 20 million $ man and he's not even bionic !
And these swipes at her husband are ridiculous and made by armchair district attorneys , remember the crazy DA b-4 guest? That was his show, isn't he in Whitfield now? Rumors have no weight or mass.
It depends on what you want in a state auditor in this case. If you want a vacant talking head, stay with Pickering. If you want an engaged leader who looks out for the peoples' interest, Mayor Mary is your gal. The accounts of her tyranny are exaggerations. She gets my vote.
Tea party doesnt exist anymore. It wasted its energy on McDaniels and it lost. They have no influence.
Mary Hawkins is a good politician and cannot figure why she would want this job but politicians never do much i understand.
I think the auditor and his office overlook and "fix" too much but if they did it the way they should the heat would be so high that they would melt. USM uses foundation funds to pay auditors bills on missing property and fund a boat on the coast, The Trooper School gives a free lunch to those who show up at the acadamy, alot of unmarked cars are used when they should be marked as per state law(Pickering has one).
Pickering may be disliked on the coast but otherwise not many people care unless there is a hugh problem with his office. The people on here are right but a minority and Pickering hasnt made alot if any powerful enemies.
10:58...All those JSU folks are definitely going to vote for Pickering over Mayor Mary when they vote in the Republican primary. Yeah, right.
If Pickering hires the notorious race baitin' vote buyer Pete Perry then all bets are off.
yeah, the whole state is going to vote for Mary so she can get revenge on Madison County officials. Screw the other 81 counties.
This is the most crooked state in the nation; how about a change?
I don't know much but I do know that as much publicity as Rudy has gotten over the years I can assure you that if he were anything close to being a crook then he would not be still sitting at the table. Every state and federal agency has looked into his actions and all have determined that their is no criminal action. So that means that their are a lot of jealous, envious, haters that criticize because they can't do. Now haters lets sit back and see what side Rudy is on when it comes to this election. My guess is that he has the money and the smarts to make a difference. Keep on hating.... Winning.......
A statewide race is much more difficult than a municipal race. Get very far from Madison and who has heard of her?
Mary did not snup her nose at Jackson State coming to Madison. In fact Jackson State slipped in through a side door while violating the regulations of the body that governs the location of colleges.
Mary learned about their move to Madison about the same time the rest of us did since the school made no effort to work with the city officials. And the oversight board ignored its mandated responsibility to disallow one college from encroaching within three miles of an existing institution.
We like rules, police cars, constraints and columns up in here. And we DON'T like peacocks, apartments, vagrants and gunfire. LUMP IT!
As State Auditor, she can surely investigate the expenditure of funds on those brick overpasses. Madison: Red Brick to match our Red Necks.
That fat ass Goober has been awfully quiet as of lately. I thought he was buddy buddy with Mayor Mary.
Mary will have a tough race but if she wins, things will get to be really fun to watch.
Joining the rest of the state in saying "Who?"
8:00 p.m.
David Clark, the DA before Guest, died recently. He was never a patient at Whitfield. He was truly eccentric and suffered from depression, but was also quite a brilliant man. He served honorably as DA, and did make his share of mistakes and misses, but bring David Richardson to justice, along with one of the two co-conspirators in the land fraud, was a high point of his second tenure as DA.
So I was sitting in traffic on west street today where all the legislators park. I noticed a vehicle parked just outside the woolfolk building parked in a parking space reserved for H101. HE/SHE also had H101 in his/her car window but the vehicle(a hummer) had a arkansas tag. Seems like stacy could walk out his front door to investigate this lawmaker to verify why he/she has a vehicle without of state tags.
7:32, the street parking is for legislative staff. Legislators park on the Capitol grounds.
902. You're not correct
yep 9:02 doesnt know what he/she is talking about
the greatest misconception in Mississippi... the overpass is not brick. Its stamped concrete made to resemble brick.
"David Clark, the DA before Guest, died recently. He was never a patient at Whitfield. He was truly eccentric and suffered from depression, but was also quite a brilliant man. He served honorably as DA, and did make his share of mistakes and misses..."

Terrorizing innocent citizens does not constitute 'serving honorably'. http://www.msnewsnow.com/story/2791190/fbi-da-disagree-on-butlers-indictment And those-in-the-know say that Jim Butler was hardly the only innocent person whose life was nearly destroyed by Clark.
