Wood was a true gentleman. He got me my first job with the JPD in the 1970's. Well-respected and held in high esteem by everyone. His children have done well (a child is simply a "start-up," in today's vernacular). Thanks, Wood.
Wonder if anyone else has served on the Board of Supervisors in two different counties.
His legacy will be allowing developers to build houses in flood zones. And doing nothing to help the residents of hugh ward and spillway road. But as long as pine lake castlewoods and mill creek are ok all is well with the status quo.
In my opinion, what he did best was peddle influence. That was really the only qualification he had. He, according to the obit, NEVER had a job the was not tax payer funded. Again,, opinion..
