Thomas Blaine Allen and Tracie Michelle Burt pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute last week in Rankin County Circuit Court. They were arrested during a December 2014 traffic stop on Hwy 468. Each defendant received twenty year prison sentences. Police found 40 grams of meth in their vehicle. Burt had her five-month old child in the back seat as well. The police report and their mug shots are posted below.

20 years? I don't know. Having a child in the backseat is horrific, but maybe there are better ways to approach this. There could be a better balance of time-served and then treatment so that child is not without parents for 20 years (the parents that aren't deserving right now, but things could change if this were approached differently).
10:08, we have to feed the private prison beast. Private prisons demand a certain number of prisoners, so we have to give them up. Mandatory minimums, three strike laws becoming two and one strike laws, zero tolerance. This is all happening because of lobbying by private prisons. There is no room for discretion anymore.

I took it to mean the child's grandfather, Burt's father. The age would be right for that.
That is quite a leap KF simply on age.
He was born in 58. She was born in 84. That places him in his mid-20's in 1984.
