Ivana Williams is probably not feeling cute after Mississippi Highway Patrol fired the trooper yesterday. Colonel Haynes terminated Williams' employment after a hearing was held Friday. Attorney Matt Eichelberger represented Williams at the hearing. Williams has been quite the social butterfly since she became a trooper several years ago. She founded the "Sipi Girls", operates a gun store in Rankin County, and maintains a heavy social media presence on various platforms.
However, a lawsuit filed in Rankin County Chancery Court in December 2023
accuses Williams of sexually assaulting another woman. The petition for a restraining order accused the former trooper of videotaping the sexual assault and sharing the video with other troopers. The alleged victim filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office but no action has been taken on the complaint.
The termination letter states the alleged victim filed the complaint with the Attorney General in 2023. A.G. Investigators interviewed Williams in July 2023. However, Williams did not notify her Troop Commander of the interview as required by General Order 2.3.2.2(i). The letter states:
You told Internal Affairs that you notified Master Sergeant Eric Henry of your interview with the Attorney General's Office, either the day of or the day after and Captain Chriss Turnipseed two or three weeks later. However, you did not notify Troop C Troop Commander Ricky Dean.
You admitted in your due process hearing that you did not notify anyone prior to your interview.
The failure to properly notify her Troop Commander was a serious offense. However, more serious offenses doomed her chances to remain a trooper. The letter cites her unprofessional conduct or what was once called behavior unbecoming of a trooper, as the reason for her dismissal.
Williams performed poorly on questions involving the lawsuit on a polygraph exam.
The polygraph exam and the lawsuit were just the beginning of Command's problems with the wayward trooper as Williams apparently has a thing for porn.
The letter states "In your due process hearing, you admitted sending or showing illicit pictures while on duty.
Then there is beer. Did someone say beer?
Porn may have been mentioned earlier but it is not the last time it is mentioned in the termination letter.
After cataloguing her various offenses as a Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper, Colonel Haynes decreed:
Your actions constitute inefficiency or other good cause as and pursuant to Chapter 7 of the Mississippi State Employee Handbook your employment is terminated effective immediately.
Williams will be paid for her unused personal leave time, up to 240 hours. She has 15 days to file a notice of appeal with the Mississippi Employee Appeals Board.
Eichelberger only said his client was reviewing her right to appeal the termination.
The former trooper already has filed an appeal with the Board over an earlier action. Command transferred the trooper from Troop C (Rankin County area) to Troop D (Bolivar County) on January 2, 2024. Despite the transfer, the trooper managed to make the Governor's Inaugural Ball the next evening.
Williams did not take too kindly to the transfer as she filed a grievance on January 3 with the Department of Public Safety. The agency ruled her grievance was not valid on January 12. She filed a notice of appeal on February 6. However, DPS filed a motion to dismiss with the Mississippi Employee Appeals Board. The motion argued the 15-day deadline for appealing the decision was January 30. However, Williams claims the clock was reset when she resubmitted her grievance on January 12. The case is pending before the Board. Attorney Bobby Moak represents Williams.
Kingfish note: It's a pretty safe bet Command grabbed everyone's phones at MHP and went to digging. It will not be a surprise to see more troopers dismissed in the coming weeks. Pucker up, Boyz.

It’s about damn time!!! During the 5 years she’s been on the highway patrol, she should’ve been fired at least 10 times! She used to brag about being “untouchable” to everyone. I guess it was true for a good while. Her luck finally ran out! This is the kind of mess you get when the standards are lowered. Back in the day, MHP was a stellar organization. It all started going down hill when Chris Gillard got a hold of it. Under his “leadership”, the Patrol Academy was changed into what it is today. A softer, gentler, weaker academy. In fact, the run time for the entrance PT test to get into the patrol academy she attended was to run a mile and a half in 8:00 minutes. It was discovered that she could not meet the 8:00 minute time limit, so it was changed to 9:00 minutes specifically for her.(Fact) This has been the same standard held for her the entire time she has been on the patrol. She did whatever she wanted to do without any recourse, when other individuals were being fired for way less. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, just as it has for this young lady. Maybe she can put half as much interest into her children as she does herself. DPS never fails to entertain!

I went to highschool with her. She was strange, shy, and kept to herself then. A shock to see how “social” she is now.
I have sympathy for the allege victim, her family, and pray the incident will be resolved quickly, but It’s hard to believe this was the first time this type of event occurred. As a LEO this is absolutely an embarrassing situation. The erosion of standards and accountability at DPS / MHP, at ALL levels, has contributed directly to situations like this. LEOs see and hear the actions of their chain of command, their peers, and are strongly influenced by them. What do you think a culture of doing WTH you want to do without consequence leads to? Upper command included. If LEOs don’t have leadership that is competent, fair across the board treatment to all, selfless actions, etc, then you are going to have incidents like this again and again. Yeah, all my WTH now, getting angry or embarrassed has mostly gone and turned into disappointment about the larger situation. Most days I don’t recognize this outfit anymore, and don’t care to figure out their reason for doing things.

She made mistakes now let’s pray for her and her family, and hope she gets through this tough time. I mean I just don’t get how people are so mean and happy this girl has been knocked down.. Go to church , get some religion .. pray for her and her family.
@ 6:59, no one is obsessed with her. She's obsessed with herself. She put herself out there and continues to do so, thinking she's untouchable. Any tough time she has was brought on by her own behavior.
As far as making mistakes, what she did created a victim. If a man had done that to a woman, videoed it, and shared it around, they'd be charged. She still should be.

@ 11:36, I never claimed to be perfect or never made any mistakes. However, her position as being a law enforcement officer holds her to a higher standard, the same way as teachers. clergy, etc. I can tell you that I have never done the things she has done though, and any mistakes I made in my life are minor compared to those.
Common sense and decency tells you that you don't do things like she has reported to have done to her friend and then spread a video around to others. The victim asked her to destroy the video when she found out about it, and rather than do that, the trooper shared it with others. If this happened to you, one of your friends or family members, would you think it was a "mistake"? I don't know personally know anyone involved, but can you imagine how violated the woman feels, and then having been betrayed by a person she thought was a friend? The trooper knew it was wrong and did it deliberately.

Seems like an internal affairs problem to me. Maybe she did some unprofessional things, but did she abuse the authority vested in her by nature of the badge, and did the abuse injure the public? Or did she just offend
our Christian sensibilities? The appropriate way to handle this is internally. Fanfare only further damages the decorum of the organization.
That's my humble opinion anyway. What the hell do I know?
@12:18 AM She didn’t get fired for this now very public sexual encounter. She got fired for using her state issued device to look at porn and send nudes. I saw one myself that was in her MHP cruiser. Public employees have to sign contracts for the state property issued to them. These contracts outline how the property can and cannot be used. She paid the price of breaking the terms of the contract. It’s as simple as that.

To those saying she made a mistake, mistakes happen accidentally, not thought out in advance. From the information at our disposal, everything she has done was planned.

2/17 5:40 AM - right on point. I have been saying this as I am a licensed therapist. She is a sociopath too. No conscience whatsoever, and she will use anyone she can. She did shit to me too. I am glad the victim in this has finally shed light on who she really is.
