Does the Greater Jackson Arts Council even exist anymore?
There is no longer a website. Greaterjacksonartscouncil.com shows this result:
The Wayback machine shows there was a website back in November.
The corporate status is in good standing with the Secretary of State although its charity expired.

shows what dynamic, transformative leadership will do!
Tell me how this place could have that kind of income.
Somebody got a Lincoln and a 78 inch TV.
It's carried on the Secretary of State's website as an entity in good standing. But its registered agent (and one of the original incorporators back in 1979), William Painter, submitted his resignation earlier this month.
There's a Steve Miller song about this I believe.
How odd. They are still listed under their Business ID 610172. Last thing filed was Resignation of Registered Agent filed 02/07/23. Still got their facebook page.
There was a lawsuit in 2023 re employee accusing executive director of misusing a great deal of money. Was filed in Rankin County Circuit Court March 2023. Wonder if its come to the forefront. Website may have had something on it that could be tied to it. Wayback has shot of website from middle of 2023.
Take the money and run.
Go woke... go broke.
Been picked clean!
Jackson couldn't care less about roads, crime, water, etc......much less the arts. "Art" doesn't translate into this administration's culture.
Shad can never find problems with groups like this eh? Weird huh?
12:32 they don't have a $50,000 surety bond he can cash, duh!
a boondoggle-
>>Shad can never find problems with groups like this eh? Weird huh?<<
To be fair to Shad the statutes do clearly place the theft of office supplies and petty cash by simple schemes in the auditor's wheelhouse.
The complicated stuff like non-profit and connected folks 'mistakes like TANF' enforcement is a whole different thing.
Too bad you can't go back and correct your mistake, 1:04. The auditor's office has no oversight of this place 'in his wheelhouse'.
You ignoramuses seem to think the State Auditor can just stomp up into any storefront and demand to audit their books. The State Auditor has very specific oversight and audit responsibility as defined by state law.
Before you get your ass in a sling over his job, I also should let you know he can't audit the rolling smoke-grills behind the gas station and the grease-burger joints down on Northside-west.
Silbrina Wright seems to have removed her experience as Executive Director of the GJAC from her LinkedIn profile... wonder why.

Anyone know what eventually happened with this lawsuit?

Shad's already had a turn with Silbrina from her previous crooked activities in Canton.
@2:37 please name a good grease burger joint on West Northside. I love a good burger.
But, 5:51, she wasn't on the payroll of a non-profit then...if you're implying he can still go after her.
Wright has announced she is taking a sabbatical. I kid you not.
She fired John bc he was the wrong color it seemed and he was onto her stealing
Art council? We don't need no stinking art council.
Or proper grammar, apparently.
