Construction equipment appeared at the Top Golf site yesterday.
Gabriel Prado , CEO and President, PraCon Global Investment Group, said “While I cannot share the specific details, I can tell you that we are
working for a groundbreaking ceremony in February for Prado Vista at
Ridgeland. This project has been in the works for over two years, and I
am very grateful for all of the people that were involved in the public
and private sector to get it to the finish line. Mississippi is a land of
winners, and we are showing the world the momentum that those winners
are building.”

I have enjoyed dozens of casual business lunches and completed millions of dollars of business deals over epic gatherings at Top Golf in other states. This is going to be great!
Pro TIP: European and Asian business partners love going to TOP Golf!
Some construction equipment showed up in my neighborhood to fix the streets. Showed up. No one's working, but it showed up. Guess it's one step at a time, you know, baby steps.
Can us rednecks shoot golfs at that range?
I’m sure I can’t put a ball in from 6 feet, but I can hit the back net 9 out of 10 times at Top Golf. Love that place. Confidence booster for me.
You'd think there would be some official announcement from Topgolf by now, but "can't share specific details."
10:28 - Just like your streets, Rome wasn't built in a day. Street repaving takes a bit of mobilazation, and also is weather dependent (asphalt plants don't open unless the temperature is going to be adequate). Do not despair, don't think they would bring in the equipment unless they were really planning on doing something --- unless, of course, it was the City of Jackson's equipment. If that was the case, they might have to wait until they pay the asphalt plant for some past due bills before they can actually start working which could be a long long time.
A golf course is the willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
This is just what the video gamers crowd need to enable them to get a little physical exercise. Count me in!
Interesting wording. No mention of Top Golf. Probably will start and end with the apartments.
Sounds like they are in the "fore" front of Ridgeland sports. "Tee" hee.
How does this actually differ from a Driving Range? I remember when they built the Nissan Plant and put in a Driving Range. Never took off since I believe it was solely for employees. Not that many folks from MS play golf I suspect.
I want this to be successful, but unfortunately it will fail.
Will it have some deer stands?
2:35 Look it up.
I don’t play golf and don’t want to go to a driving range. I like TopGolf because I can hit the back net. I don’t care about the holes yet. Once I figure out which club is good for the holes, I’ll try that too. Probably only going to be consistent at hitting the back net.
Probably never meant to take off, if it wasn’t open to the public.
So much for that area. Enjoy Horne folks!
Bright lights, loud music, increased traffic, drunk drivers (no pun intended), what could possibly go wrong? But the honorable mayor can see more taxes to spend on pet projects.
4:33 Did you know that a person can get drunk from buying beer at a gas station? I’ve been to two Top Golf’s and you can’t hear anything going on inside, from the front door. The lights they use are modern and shine only on parts of the range.
Will this abutt up to St. Catherine's property?
This is all show for their investors. We'll see.
You nay sayers are clueless. Top Golf is huge in every location they open. Great entertainment whether you like golf or not. I do question whether a top golf will ever be built here. I suspect it will be the last thing built in the development. The big money is made on the “lofts” cough cough.

Lighten up people! It’s an entertainment venue, which the metro area needs more of. I have been to one in Nashville and it’s fun. You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy it. I won’t go regularly, but occasionally with friends for something different to do. If you don’t like it don’t go.
Ridgeland is doomed. (Someone had to say it.)
Wait… can he finish the apartments at the old McCrae’s site in Fondren??
How much rental property is included in this project?
7:59pm
Why is Ridgeland "doomed"? Gene Magee has steadily improved and responsibly grown Ridgeland for 20+ years, all of it fiscally responsible and much of it world class beautiful, especially Renaissance. This is because investors and developers have confidence in that city's quality leadership.
@6:41 PM - Yes, and also high density housing, "hotel," market...
@8:19 AM - Try to keep up. It's sarcasm as someone frequently posts "xxxx is doomed" in threads about Rankin, Brandon, Madison, etc.
One excavator shows up parked… Now give me more investments!!!
"much of it world class beautiful, especially Renaissance"
World class? You need to get out more if you think Renaissance is world class.
All of you naysayers, what in the world have YOU done to contribute? It's easy to sit at your keyboard and anonymously, negatively speculate and criticize. I hope this development gets off the ground and is successful, and I'm grateful for other beautiful area developments like Township and Renaissance (1:04 jackass).
1:04 pm
I am well traveled in USA, Mexico and Europe and stand by my assertion that Renaissance is unmatched in design, quality and character. Highland Village has been the standard for longevity and undated attractive architecture in Central MS. Renaissance surpasses it and any other outdoor mall in America that I have seen
Please provide a "better" if you know of one.
Some folks in and around Jackson Metro still shop at Westland Plaza. I’ve lived here for 40 years and never been to Westland Plaza. Scared someone might borrow my car for a shootout on Adkins, and then not give it back. History supports the fact that Every town goes through phases. EXPANSION, OVER SUPPLY, RECESSION, & RECOVERY.
Expansion periods last longer with competent leadership and adaptable ideas. As of late, for whatever reason, cities and towns with democratic leadership have become extremely unpleasant for any kind of recovery. They will be stuck in the recession period until their leaders decide to be responsible. Jackson could have been in the recovery period years ago, but the racial divide of competent decision making, has outweighed the opportunities to make reasonable decisions. Unfortunately, elected leadership today is some kind of self-righteous movement and the only available candidates are more worried about how they can get away with immoral activity, than being honest and doing what needs to be done. It’s all a shit show, from Mayors (Lumumba), District Attorneys (Willis), FBI (Comey & Wray), President (Biden).
The people we are electing are crooks. It’s more about a popularity contest than true leadership.
What will it take to get minority voters to understand that just because someone of minority throws their hat in the ring, doesn’t mean they’re on the same side. Todays democratic ideals are more like a fairytale, than reality
Real people (voting citizens) think it okay to identify as something they weren’t born as, and then get angry when others don’t understand why they are complex. LGBBQ, Cats, Trans. What in the heck is going on?
Hell in a huge Handbasket. Just go hit some golf balls while you can still choose to do so. Before long, Biden and the Democrats will be telling us what and when we can do anything at all. The majority of America doesn’t pay taxes and they have become so dependent on someone else’s instructions, they will continue to vote for whoever lies the best.
For those who can make decisions for themselves, our children and grandchildren are DOOMED.
Top Golf is fun. Have some while you still can.
Wow. Zero rebuttals to the 11:03 post. I must’ve been correct.
