Covid-19 Protocols? What protocols?
Sorry to be away from the website today. Comcast decided to take a break this morning, or rather, the Comcast modem did. Of course, a crown had to pop off so yours truly had to rush to the dentist to get that fixed and then there was voting. Nearly two hours spent waiting in line to cast that precious ballot. Take a look at the pics below.
Everyone was standing in line outside, enjoying the nice fresh air. The weather could not have been any better for such an endeavor. However, some genius working the polls got the bright idea to have everyone come inside and crammed them all into the hallway. Yeah, that's real smart. Cram everyone together in a poorly ventilated hallway. More than a few people said they were more comfortable outside. Good job, Election Commission. Oh, and thanks for assigning less workers than usual to work that precinct.

What county and precinct?
Looks like Casey School
I think Mcleod
I felt pretty uncomfortable in Ridgeland as well. A ton of people packed in the hallways. Seemed unnecessarily risky. There is no excuse for not allowing more early voting to spread the crowds out.
Final numbers are not in but looks like more people voted in 2016 than this year. 1,211,088 voted in 2016. May be 100k fewer total votes this year but I'm no math wizard. Trump got 700k votes in 2016 but will fall short of that number this year.
