Or how to make a filter mask 101!
The Walker family is definitely making lemonade out of Coronavirus lemons. Sarah Walker and her precocious daughter produced a video that shows how to make a filter mask at home. Let's face it, no one is buying N95 masks for awhile so every little bit of advice helps. The video is on Youtube and is posted below.
This kid has a future in commercials. Go get an agent, Bliss. Mrs. Walker also produced a step-by-step video.
Kingfish note: Wait a second. We need a ruling? Did these videos violate the Mississippi State Department of Health regulations on offering unlicensed, health, nutrition, or medical advice? Who cares.

Wow I'm inspired by the can-do attitude instead of waiting around whining for the gubmint to hand out free masks!
Five gold stars to the Walker family!
This is stupid shit. No health care facility will use home-made masks.

You must be one of those dimbulb know it alls that can't google.
Ever heard of an Autoclave? Depending on how desperate the situation becomes, facilities can autoclave fabric and it will be completely sterile.
KF if you don't want any license regulations, don't bitch when malpractice happens.

Then why has UMMC stated that they have enough homemade masks for now? They are using them, just not in surgical applications.
This went viral and is in national news media. Kudos to the Walkers.
Sarah Walkers here! Thanks for the shout-out Kingfish! In response to an above comment...
Yes, UMMC is no longer needing mask but others are contacting me in desperate need! Hospice has over 50 mask we have produced!!! BIG THANKS to all my incredible volunteers! Now that Hospice is taken care of (for now) we are sending some to Louisiana and to local friends offices who have surrendered their mask to help with the severe needs! Now....I gotta get back to sewing!!! ππΌπ·
only one problem, my wife can't sew (even though she got an A in home Economics). And I was taught on a manual pedal machine...never could transition to an electric.
Hello Sarah Walker. Please post where we can buy some of your masks! I’ve watched your video and I think these face masks are great. Thank you. I really want to buy a few!
