The Madison Sheriff arrested Byron McBride a few minutes ago. Law enforcement sources tell JJ that McBride is the suspected shooter in the murder of little Kingston Frazier.
Kingfish note: The child was the grandson of Chuckie as in Chuckie's Lounge. Heaven help these guys.

Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Apparently, he's a real intellectual, judging from those quotes. Maybe that's how he got to be a "Walmart Manager" in Nebraska.
Rabid animals need to be :put down".
Brace yourselves children. The wicked truth is about to come out. It will be impossible to believe.
Hint 1- How did they find these guys so quick?
Look at his mom's profile (Helen McBride) post about his birthday. She wished he would change his way. Interesting.
4:55, well go ahead and enlighten us.
Sad day. If these guys are guilty they should die a slow painful death and let everyone watch. From appearance it looks like the the Madison DA , grand jury and courts will handle this. Justice should be strong and swift.
Because they saw the tag number on the civic... not that hard. It was released early on!
4:55...here is a hint as to how they found the first guy so fast...
"A news conference was held on Thursday evening in which Hinds County Sheriff Victor Mason revealed that a deputy was dispatched to the Kroger on I-55 North in Jackson after a witness reported a woman came out of the store reporting that her car was missing. That deputy drew up a case number for auto theft.
Sheriff Mason says at that point they did not receive information that a child was in the car and missing. When that information was realized, deputies then contact Mississippi Highway Patrol and then the Jackson Police Department.
JPD Commander Tyree Jones says that officers then responded to the scene of the auto theft and kidnapping and were able to obtain information on the vehicles involved in the case.
A witness contacted police and was able to provide information about the last person seen driving the the silver Honda Civic, which was driven by the suspects. Police were able to get a positive identity of the driver, who they confirm is one of the three under arrest.
It was at that point that MBI issued the Amber Alert and were able to begin assisting in the investigation."
All taken from a story posted on WLBT.
One major question that obviously leaps out at you from the above is why in the HECK did the mom report a stolen car and not a kidnapped child?
I found it odd that an Amber Alert was not issued until some time after 4 AM even though the mom found her car missing a little after 1 AM. Given that she apparently did not report her child missing at first would explain the time delay.
Because Hinds did not notify anyone for quite a while.
Kingfish, who was taken into custody in Ridgeland, McBride and/or Wakefield? Where were they located in Ridgeland when they were taken into custody? Do you have an idea of the general location where they were apprehended?
Also, any prior arrests for any of these people? I see the armed robbery for Washington, what about other arrests for any of them?
I'm big on bringing back the electric chair in these cases.
Story's changing. It's a cover up
Unfortunately even if the scumbags are convicted we taxpayers will be footing the bill to house and feed them for at least 20 years, that is if they get the death penalty. All the while they'll be sitting in air conditioned housing, getting feed three squares daily and smoking all the pot they want. Oh, and don't forget talking and texting to all there friends on free cell phones.
As to how the arrests were made so quickly...somebody that knew who the child killers were called the law.
This does not make sense. So Archie reported her car stolen, but didn't say anything about her child being in the car? Correct me if I'm wrong.
There are rumors it's gang related...former owner of Chucky's Lounge is grandfather of murdered child. He's a vice lord. The three are gangster disciples. Just rumors at the moment.
Social Media "theory". She left him in the car at Last Call. Apparently, she did a FB live while she was there. He was asleep, found the gun in the car and shot himself. She then called these idiots to stage the kidnapping/crime.
@9:39
This has revenge killing written all over it. That's how you get to someone--through their children.

Everyone keep it in your pants. Wakefield and Washington are 17. No needle. No automatic life. Yalls bloodthirst will have to settle for 1/3.
bring back public executions
As LE in Hinds Co... what are we doing? Catch and release, rinse repeat, fosters this culture. Every circuit judge, officer and deputy should feel the blood of this child on their hands. And voter. Create the environment, can't act surprised when evil takes advantage. I need another drink.
Absolutely heart broken over this. Its doubtful this is a coverup. Regardless, this innocent child did not deserve this.
They are football players at Ridgeland High School.
Some of the news channels are having trouble getting the important details correct. These young men will be tried as adults, since Dwan and DeAllen are 18 years old and Byron is 19. Looking at the Facebook accounts for Dwan and Byron, as someone earlier mentioned, they attended school together at Callaway. This was a very sad day for Mississippians. No child could ever deserve this type of crime committed to them. A mother does not deserve the guilt she will have to live with; from a decision she made to leave her child in the car for what she thought would only be a couple of minutes. Might I also add, this is a patrolled parking lot that maybe she thought it would be safe enough for just a couple of minutes. My heart and prayers go out to all the family members involved, the child Kingston especially, and also the young men for their family as they will have to live with the crime their children committed.
If only we would change that darned state flag all this madness would grind to a stop...
10:49 pm 17 year olds can be tried as adults in this country.
This is a murder that is not just heinous,
This murder is beyond stupid in planning and execution.
These guys are idiots and it insults my very dumb dog to call them animals.
If a gang "leader" picked these guys as members and trusted them to steal cars much less carry out a hit, he's got shit for brains as well.
If it was an accidental death that the mother tried to cover up as one commenter suggested, she's beyond stupid.
If she just left him in a car at 2am, I want to know why. If she wasn't working and desperate to keep her job and hoped this the safest of bad choices, I want her charged as well.
This poor child deserved to have adults with some sense in his life and I suspect there were more than a few adults who should have known he was at risk and called Children's Protective Services long ago.
Why should the officers "feel the blood on their hands" when they are the ones out there busting their asses to bring this scum to justice? Why don't you place the blame where it belongs? The court system in Hinds County is horrible. The judges and DA are incompetent at best. The LE officers have no control over a judge and the officers can't control sentencing and punishment. Don't you think the officers are tired of having to chase after the same trash over and over only for the judge to let the trash back out into the street?
10:49. 17 yr olds old are tried as adults when accused of capital murder and are eligible for the death penalty in the great state of Mississippi.
The U.S. Supreme Court rules several years ago you can't give the death penalty or life without parole to those under 18.
No, 8:08, minors are not eligible for the death penalty in any state in the United States. I know half of y'all think you're lawyers, but you aren't. You can be tried as an adult, but if you were a minor at the time of your crime the worst sentence you can get is life. There is no mandatory life sentence for a minor and certainly no death penalty.
Miller v. Alabama, 567 US 460
Roper v. Simmons, 543 US 551
8:08. Those under 18 at the time they commit their crimes are not eligible for death penalty in any state thanks to U.S. Supreme Court ruling in the case of Roper v. Simmons back in 2005.
The NYT picked up the story and ran a photo of the mother barefoot, wailing and being carried. I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that she left her child unattended in a running car at 1am after being at a bar. She also failed to mention that there was a child in the stolen car. Some reports say she was drunk . She should be charged with child endangerment, possibly DUI, as well as have the rest of her litter of children taken from her. She deserves every bit of guilt she is feeling right now. My only sympathy is with the innocent child. Kudos to LE for arresting the 3 so quickly.
McBride - 19
Wakefield - 17
Washington - 17
There is video footage of Dwon Wakefield bawling his eyes out when he got arrested yesterday. What a big baby.
To paraphrase Paul Harvey, lets wait for the investigation to conclude and then we shall know "the rest of the story."
There's a lot more here than meets the eye. I'm sure the investigation will look at social media, security cameras, and eyewitnesses. They will also put together a timeline of events, and make correlations between all involved.
It's going to take a few weeks, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
This is tragic regardless of how/why it happened, but "something in rotten in the state of Denmark", something isn't kosher about this. What's with the mother yelling “I told y’all that s[hi]t wasn’t right, I told y’all.” when she (supposedly) learned her son was dead?????
I believe the suspects are all over 18. They qualify for the death penalty. The mother should be charged with felony child endangerment at the very least.
If you read the CL story, the news first broke that the car was found. At the time, we all thought that meant the kid would be found alive too. Then we found out later that he was killed. The family all celebrated when the car was found. The mother was saying they were wrong, it didn't seem right.
She was right. Car was way out in the middle of nowhwere. It didn't seem right if the kid was just going to be dropped off.
"This s__t ain't right" is the only accurate account so far. Do some digging into to the mother's back-story on social media and the time-table leading up to her arrival at Kroger in the middle of the night. Throw in some physical evidence, the coroner's report and time of death - word in the community is already getting around. Just a matter of time until the facts are sorted out by authorities...
This was a gang retaliation killing. It's been made public that the child's grandfather is in a gang. It's a disgusting thing to try and comprehend, but that is what happened.
Its all a little sketchy...
The mom of the son did not mention he was in the car until after she reported the car had been stollen. Wouldn't the first thing a mother would do (even intoxicated) is worry about her child? It was probably a retaliation for something that
1. either the family owed the teens money
2. the teens were involved in a gang and decided to get someone by getting their kid (a family member could have been in a competing gang)
Also, why did the teens kill him? Why didn't they hide his body? They had to have had a reasoning behind it. They purposely didn't try to cover up the scene. They could have easily of left the child alive. They did not want the car, they wanted something else. The real truth will eventually come out!
