We Are Invincible

Virus? What virus? Did you know there is a virus out there? Did you know Hinds County and thus Jackson, is under some sort of order?   You wouldn't know it if you were at the Northside v. West Side smackdownbeatdownshowdown yesterday.  Props to WJTV:

I thought I saw two or three people without masks.
I thought the mayor said that wouldn't happen.
Where is he and where are the police?
Has the mayor dropped the whole mask thing?

Anonymous said...

Disregard for mask mandates crosses racial lines. Have you seen pictures from Miami, Orange Beach, etc.?

Get the kids back in school and let them play sports.

Anonymous said...

JPD could have made a boatload of money with $300/person without a mask on. Missed opportunity...

Anonymous said...

Jackson has a mayor?

Anonymous said...

Disable all the cars by cutting the tires. Then impound them all with a hefty fine. Nothing else is going to get these idiots attention.

Anonymous said...

@9:54, yes Jackson has a mayor. He will be along shortly to condemn these people as well as the violence, stay tuned.

Anonymous said...

heres the reason for the surge of covid 19 in hinds county in a week...

Anonymous said...

So we are advocating committing a crime to impound cars to collect HEFTY fines. Why would anyone, other than an idiot, suggest this? Gotta love the mentality of some folks. Get a grip sweetheart, this too will pass. I'm waiting for Civil Litigation to begin and hang our courts up in paperwork.

Any footage from the game?

Anonymous said...

Let them be the instruments of their own demise. They voted for this pathetic local government more worried about political points and social justice than the welfare of the people, let them reap the whirlwind.

Anonymous said...

Unreal. Mayor, enforce your ordinances!!!!

Anonymous said...

The no-mask fines are for white folks and businesses, apparently.

Anonymous said...

Only statues and people going to beach are responsible for the country’s problems. CNN told me so!

Anonymous said...

If NONE of the participants there who were not wearing masks were NOT fined, then NO ONE not wearing a mask should be! Sure, a store can stop you and tell you, no mask, no service, but as far as writing citations to folk who do not have a mask on and should, that's moot at this point! Anyone who is accosted for not wearing one, should only reference this incident.

Nominally.

Were are all the smartass leftists who mock Trump supporting "Covidiots" with their insults and snopes links? These people aren't watching Fox News.

Why don't you share your thoughts on this group? Does it not fit your election year narrative?

Anonymous said...

Baby Chok's rules don't apply to those good folks. I bet you can't guess why!!

Anonymous said...

Any footage from the game?

I want to see the game, too. Also......cheerleaders.....where are the cheerleaders?

Anonymous said...

@10:43 Exactly what I was thinking. There have been many examples of this ever since March of certain segments of the population not following recommendations or mandates given a pass and being completely ignored.

Anonymous said...

Saw pretty much the same thing at the Overlook on the Res all weekend.

Anonymous said...

Turns out black people are right after all. The rules ARE different for them.

Anonymous said...

Looks like freedom of assembly applies to black folk as well as white folk. Glad to see it.

Anonymous said...

What? No pictures of parties at the Rez? Oh that's right, a fraternity party in Oxford caused numerous cases but we didn't get those videos and pics....hmmm. Really Kingfish, this is race baiting and you're pandering to your base of knuckleheads who just want some black people to talk about. Amazing since most of them don't believe in masks so why should they give a damn? Why are they even commenting? LMAO!

Kingfish said...

I know, I know, I know.

Over in the rural areas, they think it won't happen to them or damned if the government will tell them what to do. Walked into a rural restaurant two months ago. 100 people in there, all jammed shoulder to shoulder. Wait outside and everyone was on top of each other. NO masks, not even employees. I left.

Then you go to the hood and this is what goes on. Flyers up every week about FCovid19 parties or something similar.

Beach? Oh yeah, the beach. Beach should be fine as long as people space out a little. But then of course, no one thinks it will happen to them....

Kingfish said...

Send me pics or flyers and I'll post them. Do you honestly think I won't?

So WJTV posts the video and you get mad at me? Who are you? The NCAA going after Notre Dame?

Drive out to the baseball field in Flowood last weekend. Hundreds, literally hundreds of people as they were multiple kids baseball games going on. Most people didnt have mask and there was no social distance. This aint a racial thing. This is a dumb Mississippian thing.

Anonymous said...

When you see white folks gathered in huge groups (house parties, the overlook, Pelican Cove), the comments tend to mention the constitution, liberty, rights, science, yada yada. Let some blacks do the same thing, and they are all thugs with a racist mayor. Its going to be really funny to see some of each group sharing an ICU room when we run out of capacity. Maybe they can share a ventilator too!

To me, the outrage over this video is that Mayor Lumumba has taken such a hard line over everyone else in The Nation of Jackson. He isn't the mayor of the Reservoir or Oxford. He's the mayor of Jackson. Didn't they recently shut down Steve's Deli in downtown Jackson over mask/social distancing violations?

That's where the outrage comes from, in my opinion. It's a double standard and the same lack of equal protection under the law that Lumumba's people have been bitching about their entire political lives.

It's almost like if getting $600 a week in federal unemployment dollars for FREE that is twice as much as your old job was paying you to WORK, then you might want to do what you got to do to keep getting that FREE money.

But that's probably not what's happening with these fine, upstanding citizens.

Anonymous said...

Like a few here said here already I didn't know Jackson had a Mayor!?!? You see, Jackson is just one wide-open "f**k it" free for all. Move along now folks. There's nothing to see here!!

This virus has exposed something I never thought I would see in this country, a vein of selfishness and incompetence among those in government, from local officials up to and including the White House, and a vocal segment of average citizens who seem to be hell-bent on somehow proving this virus isn’t as bad as it is (despite all evidence to the contrary) or that taking the basic measures like wearing a mask in public to keep it from spreading somehow infringes on their “rights”. I feel sorry for the medical workers who have chosen to continue working and risking their own health to treat such idiots.

Anonymous said...

Yep. NWRAA has hundreds of No Maskers every day at ball games. All white. Cheek to cheek spreading the disease. They DGAF anymore than thugs in Jackson. Literally a failure of leadership to the community but they'll swear they're all "good people."

Saw a dozen folks in scrubs, too, so they're picking it up at the ballfield and spreading it to patients. Their healthcare employer better be ready to explain that.

Go out to HWY 471 and 25 and see. It's no different than this disaster in terms of numbers, but it's happening EVERY DAY, not just a one time event.

The rednecks on the site tend to think that one standard applies to them and another applies to Jacksonians, as well as all other “democrats” and people they don’t like.

I almost pity y’all. It must be so sad seeing the rest of the world move forward while you are still stuck in your same old, tired way of thinking. Every day, I bet you wake up thinking the world is a stranger and stranger place.

Almost is the key word though. You have no pity for people less fortunate for you, so there’s none to spare for you either.

" It's almost like if getting $600 a week in federal unemployment dollars for FREE that is twice as much as your old job was paying you to WORK, "

Most receiving this check think the $600 a week
will last through the month of August.

Wrong.

I'm pretty sure the week ending July 25th will the last week of such payments ( with the last $600 being mailed during the first week of August).

I predict three things:

1. MDES phones will be flooded again.

2. Many lazy people will realize they have to return to a job.

3. The lazy people will buy up toilet paper again.

( They will need the TP after reality slaps em' the face )

" Jackson has a mayor? "

"Like a few here said here already I didn't know Jackson had a Mayor!?!? "

The citizens did elect a "Mayor", and they are apparently very happy with him.

Anyway.

Not to worry, you may hear from him tonight.

I've heard he's been writing a new executive order.

Whereas, as I am the Mayor
Whereas, as I am the Mayor
Whereas, as I am the Mayor

But if you follow "the Mayor" you know what I'm talking about.

BUT . . . there is some good news from Jackson.

Th Zoo will soon reopen !

But that is good news.

Seriously.

I only hope the remaining animals are in good shape.

Good point about all the ladies in scrubs picking up their little booger eating virus magnets at the ball fields. What would their employer say?

Screw it, I’m staying in.

Anonymous said...

Who performed at half-time?

4:30, Jackson does in fact have a different standard than the rest of the state because the (black) mayor of Jackson instituted a $300 fine for (supposedly) anyone caught in public places, indoors or outdoors, without a mask. This also includes the closing of at least one (white-owned) business for alleged violations.

" This also includes the closing of at least one (white-owned) business for alleged violations."

I have no sympathy for any business that still choses to operate in Jackson.

White owned.
Black owned.
Latino owned.
India/Pakstani owned.
Asian owned.

These remaining owners of Jackson, Mississippi businesses are ignorant of basic economic principals.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
