Quick video production tip: ease up on the mood music.
The track selection and volume were appropriate for somebody talking about surviving cancer, not running a restaurant.
Otherwise, good.
As interesting as the interview is, the piano music bed is quite annoying and distracts from what the man is saying.
No thanks.
If I ever pay for a post, I'm going to require the comments be turned off.
Jeff and Dan are incredible. The book that was written about them recently called (also called Bravo!) is a must read for those who love local Jackson culture and history.
That office and set up looks like a picture from 1987.
I love reading about decay and decline.
They should have asked him about the $200,000 Soul City Hospitality received from MCEC to develop a community garden.
Jeff is a good dude!!! No pun intended. I live in fondren a few houses down. His views are different than mine but he's a great neighbor and runs a fantastic shop.
jeff is a true trailblazer in a very tough business and straight up good guy in a state full of freaks, frauds, fools, and failures
