Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Sonjay Poontang and his band headline the night with a special steel cage, no time limit "loser must leave town" bout between Alan Lange and "Big Cat"Donna Ladd following afterwards. Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

Alfred E. Newman for governor.
Tate will not survive a run-off. My feel from the fair yesterday is that he doesn't have any energized support. People are just backing him because they think he will win. They will abandon him once they see he is beatable. I believe Waller will be the #2 vote getter, but Foster is the most well rounded guy. He's great on the stump, does well one on one, great looking family, and isn't afraid to have new ideas. Will definitely be a future in Mississippi politics for him.
Bill Waller for Gov. I like Andy Taggart, but don't like his hatred for Trump, so maybe Taggart, maybe Baker. Whatever it is, no Democrat in November and I am happy.
This is lazy way to start a thread. Should keep the low-information crowd busy today, though.
#NoTateInMyState
#NeverTater
@7:45 nailed it. Foster for sure has a future. Waller will probably win... tate has no energized support and will fall to the wayside. Maybe foster can run for House or Senate soon. He would be great. Waller will be a great Gov
Taggart screwed his constituents over big time when he left the Board of Supervisors a few years ago, letting his hand-chosen weasel waltz in without opposition. We don't forget, nor forgive.
The governor's race is a simple matter for people who are not independently wealthy. We are in a race for overall prosperity with other states and they are going 100 mph. We can vote to move as fast as we can, reasonably, or
vote to stand still. But be sure, the other states will not stop and wait for Mississippi. Tate Reeves is the clear advocate of moving slowly down the track or sitting still. We can't afford to hit the gas. We're going fast enough. Waller on the other hand, advocates getting off the brakes and moving forward. It will be tough but at least we won't be falling so far behind that we can never catch up. It's a clear choice for me because I'm not independently wealthy, me and my family need the state to move forward.
If Tate loses, he'll get to keep the $5M from his campaign war chest. Not a bad retirement fund
Glad to see old Gov. Feel say he will not run for any office again. I’m sick of seeing him on TV endorsing candidates. What an inflated ego.I’ve heard a lot of people say they will not vote for anyone running for office with his endorsement.Maybe he should go down to the Wildlife Ganza this weekend and buy him a new lame duck call. Quack Quack.
I'm voting for the candidates that doesn't have a picture of them with Trump at the end of their commercial.
Educated and talented young people are leaving Mississippi. The question should be, which candidate is most likely to make them consider staying?
That's our future. That's what's important.
If Tate Reeves is elected would you want to stay if you were a young college graduate seeking a better life? (And not related to Tater)
I do not understand Tate's advocacy for not increasing the gas tax when our roads are in the shape they are. The tax is so minimal to each consumer when it comes down to it, but combined it will noticeably enhance our infrastructure. He says he doesn't want to make it harder for Mississippians to commute to work, when it would be pennies on the dollar each fill-up in exchange for infrastructure improvement. If anyone understands why he advocates against it, please enlighten me.
Tate Reeves = Mississippi's version of Jeb Bush
Raise the gas tax in a small amount, 2-3%, get rid of the embarrassing flag, raise teachers pay through cutting fat in the budget. It’s not that hard. If Tate wasn’t such a hatchet wound, I’d support him.
My job requires me to travel all over Mississippi. Every time that I'm driving on a road in need of repairs and then I have to pay for repairs to my car because of those roads, I realize only an idiot would not want to improve our roads (See Tate).
"Baby Face" Reeves should not be our next governor.
To answer 8:37, he doesn’t understand the reasons to oppose it either. He’s being controlled by his handlers and being told what to say and think. The same as on others issues like the confederate flag. Change is coming but not before some the old fuckers die off. God speed to their racist asses.
@8:25 #2
So will he if he wins.
Medicad expansion will bankrupt MS.
8:37 Because the man is a bozo and since he has been Lt. Governor he figures you MUST be one too. It makes sense.
Taggert destroyed Madison County as supervisor. Killed widening 463 and the reunion parkway interchange projects.
Hoping Madison County voters won’t forget, but time will tell.
Agreed on the gas tax. When was the last time it has increased? How does it compare to surrounding states? If it is earmarked for roads (including dangerous bridges) and it is pennies per fill up - why not?
I want one of these candidates to run on somehow forcing miniscule school districts to consolidate, so that we get rid of unneeded and overpaid administration. Too many of the wrong people getting paid for too little work in the education business.
8:21 - foster IS a representative.
Taggart comes across like a traveling preacher; not like a professional, which is what our AG should be. and 9:06 - i have NOT forgotten!
Britton and Watson have horrible campaign advisers. I would not be surprised if the same person designed both of their TV ad strategies. I'm sick of the Trump love fest.
To all my fellow democrats lets band together and vote in the republican primary and vote against Tater.
Feal, will go back and be a NIKNAR constable, ain't dat where he came from?
Tired of limp wristed REMFs running MS. Just because you worked at a bank or sold real estate doesn't mean you're even minimally qualified for public service. if you've served 20 years in the legislature, thank you for your service but you need to go.
Vote for Waller, anyone but Mark Baker and unseat every career politician in the legislature.
Yea, Andy Taggert is a wolf in sheeps clothing. He is not who he says he is, trust me. Now he points the finger saying Lynn Fitch is receiving contributions from Trial Lawyers like, Jim Herring, as in the guy appointed by Kirk Fordice to the Miss. Court of Appeals, by Haley Barbour as special judge on the Miss. Supreme Court, and who served as Chair of Phil Bryant’s transition team? Aren’t these the very governors’ names you invoke at every event you attend? You couldn't meet a more conservative person than Jim Herring and he is a business and utility attorney. How dishonest by Taggert and his fake news militia. Also, Taggert hates President Trump and rants about him often on his Twitter page. We don't want Taggert!!!! Anyone but Taggert!!!!!!!
The state flag needs to stay. It's like the bright warning colors on animals or femininazis. You deal with Mississippi you know what you are getting, for better or worse.
No politician is going to stop young people from leaving Mississjppi. Its cultural. Its why good books are written about us. This majority of the population of this state is comprised of Low IQ hustlers, good natured simpletons, and fast talking sociapaths. The grass will always be greener.
As for taxes and infrastructure. Mississippi's soils are not conducive to the structural integrity of roads and bridges. We do need some innovative strategies for dealing with our roads for the 22st century.
A vote for Tate is a vote for mainstream Milquetoast
@ 8:34 AM - I agree with you. Trump is not as popular as Tate, Lynn, Mark, et al believe that he is. I saw a recent poll about Trump support in each state that indicated support for Trump in Mississippi has declined since his election.
I'm ready to have a serious choice other than another white male who sounds like an ignorant damn hayseed when he speaks. I mean seriously why do they all sound like hicks with sunflower seeds stuffed in their cheeks? Hell at this point anyone that can pronounce RED as single syllable word would get my vote. YOU ARE ON TV TALK IN YOUR TV VOICE!
No wonder not a soul outside of this state takes anyone from this state seriously. Even the leadership speaks ignorant and sounds lazy.
10:32 You cannot function in statewide Mississippi politics if you don't speak hayseed. But believe it or not, things were improving, but lately...
Gov. Feel left out one important accomplishment at the Neshoba Fair. He has helped Mississippi stay number one in something and that one be staying number 50. Why do we stay in such horrible rankings———oh wait I know.8 years of bad PR for Mississippi.
WOW! Taggy says Jim Herring is a democrat and trial lawyer?? Jim is the Mississippi GOP patriarch and former Chair of the State party who was heavily involved with the RNC and serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Miss. Center for Public Policy? Taggy hates Trump for sure, Taggy has really gone down a dark road..... and is no longer relevant.
I don't understand how republicans think its ok to raise taxes and expand medicare. Don't let these people running for office convince you that it will not cost us anything. Nothing is free and it will end up costing the tax payer. waller has no idea what he is talking about. I as a tax payer do not want a tax increase anywhere. Cut some things instead of raising taxes.
If you like the AG’s Office now, vote for Fitch
https://legalnewsline.com/stories/512820036-with-threat-of-losing-mississippi-as-potential-client-plaintiffs-lawyers-rain-cash-on-gop-candidate-for-ag
10:32 - you live in Mississippi, get over it!
This past legislative session, the Governor signed into law HB 1205, which hid the identity of donors like the ones giving to Mark Baker. The bill was co-authored by Baker and run through the committee he chaired Judiciary A. Baker and Phil Bryant worked together to keep the people of Mississippi from knowing who is giving over $800k to Baker. Bill and Hillary Clinton must be running the Baker campaign!!!! Baker strong armed everyone he could this past session and he would be just another democratic Attorney General! Baker has sued so many people, he may do a little will and divorce work but he is a plaintiffs lawyer and just like Hood and Mike Moore!
@11:14
What do you suggest be cut in order to help MS's crumbling infrastructure?
Would you rather pay 2 cents a gallon more for gasoline or pay for front-end alignments every six months, buy new maypops every year and new struts every 18 months and risk hydroplaning every time it rains on our highways? You people can't figure math for shit. Taxes are like turds; necessary and inevitable. Block either at your own peril.
Someone explain to me how is it conservative to:
Allow our investment in infrastructure to crumble my not increasing our investment in it since 1987
Refuse billions of dollars from the federal government that would create high paying professional jobs and increase the free income of our lower class to be spent on tax generating items. While at the same time giving hundreds of millions to corporations to create factory jobs?
Refuse to supply education with sufficient funds to help better educate our workforce thus creating higher income earners?
The reason Baker pushed HB 1205 is because he wanted the identity of his financiers hidden. Baker is a bought-and-paid-for shill for the insurance companies and out-of-state big business interests that the AG's office does and should pursue for harming the State. They give to Baker because they know he will not protect the State from their bad deeds.
Baker says he will not hire outside counsel and will do everything in-house. THIS IS A LIE. The AG's office does not have the money, expertise, or manpower to prosecute the major civil cases the State is faced with on an regular basis. That is why outside counsel are hired. At least Fitch and Taggart are honest about this.
If you believe big business should not be pursued for tax fraud, vote Baker.
If you believe drug manufacturers should not be pursued for intentionally inflating their drug prices and disclosing the serious, life-threatening risks of their products (forcing Medicaid to pick up the tag), vote Baker.
If you believe opioid manufacturers should not be pursued for knowingly and willfully hooking thousands of Mississipians on their drugs and running up our Medicaid rolls in the process, vote Baker.
If you believe its perfectly acceptable for the MDA to be defrauded of tens of millions of dollars by a Silicon Valley billionaire and his cronies, vote Baker.
It's easy to rail to trial lawyers and easier to lie. Baker is nothing more than a corporate shill wanna' be.
I feel like most of Tate’s support comes from people who think they have something to gain by him being elected. Some of the buddy buddy deals that have been handed out during the Phil and Haley era. Some folks have a vested financial interest by keeping the Haley family tree in the state capitol. Otherwise, most people just really don’t like him.
12:10 - You lost all credibility until you show me receipts for front end alignment every six months and the bill for your new struts every 18 months. Until then it looks like you are the one who can't do math.
@1:42
I think @12:10 was engaging in hyperbole. However, the streets of the metro along with horrid roads around the state caused me to invest in a lifetime front-end alignment deal at Firestone a few years ago.
Mark Barker put the screws to a good family friend and is unethical. That doesn't come from me, it comes from the MS Supreme Ct and he wants to be our AG. The person above that said Mike Moore and Jim Hood and Clintons, is spot on. On show-cause order issued to estate’s counsel, the Supreme Court, en banc, Carlson, J., held that motion for rehearing filed by estate’s counsel did not comply with standards of civility and professionalism for attorneys. Background: Elderly participant in adult day care center program operated by state university hospital brought action against hospital. The ct stated "Attorneys should accept, without reservation, the requirement that they be held to higher standards of conduct and give up what normally would be considered free speech to the public at large while appearing in the Supreme Court or filing documents with the Supreme Court. U.S.C.A. Const.Amend. 1; Rules App.Proc., Rule 40(c)." I guess Baker thinks old people don't deserve ethics or fair representation!!!!!
Taggart appears to me to be a really bright guy; however, this may sound silly, but the fact that he so strongly supported John Kasich in the run up to 2016 prevents me from voting for him. To me, it shows poor judgement. At best, Kasich is a spineless left-of-center moderate; at worst, he's a Democrat. Either way, he'd have governed in a less effective way than even Jeb Bush!
Baker's my guy. At least we know for SURE he's a conservative........
I may not cast a vote for Sec of State in the Republican Primary.
Per the ad claims:
Britton was a Democrat and supported Democrats but now loves Trump more than anyone else has ever loved Trump.
Watson hated Trump and tried to block his election results, but denies and says he sat on the front row for him at convention. Watson also worked for crybaby McDaniel to challenge the Senate election results.
But I have no idea of their qualifications for the office! What say you people?
Andy Taggart is a traditional Republican in the Eisenhower/Reagan mold. He could have hitched his wagon to a brighter star than Kasich, but I admire him for refusing to support a person who has more character flaws than a Danielle Steele novel.
It appears to me that Mark Baker would sell his mother to a white slaver if it could get him five more votes.
Ms. Fitch would be fine, but Taggart would be better.
I am just voting against Tate Reeves. The rest really don't matter.
No Tate, Yes Waller. Jay Hughes in the general. I don't think Hoseman can be trusted with real power. Butler, Snow will own whoever is AG. Makes no difference who goes in. I'm voting for Jill Ford in my Madison district.
Who’s running? And for what?
I will not support ANY candidate that claims to be “...Trump conservative...” or who has Philbilly’s endorsement. Period. Both men (regardless of their party) are Neanderthals.
This is what everyone I’ve talked to who knows and/or who have donated to Tate say to me in private... I’m publicly doing the minimum to support Tate. I’ll never vote for him, don’t know anyone who is voting for him, & and don’t think he will win. I just have to support him in the rare chance he will win. I’m afraid of his revenge towards anyone he thinks didn’t support him. This is what people are saying in private. I believe them. The hate for Tate Reeves is real. My prediction-Waller and Tate in a runoff, Waller wins. Tate goes to work in DC lobbying for boss hog, uh, I mean Barbour.
I’m curious, is Tate supporting Butch Lee for Transportation Commissioner? Lee has made it clear he favors increasing the gas tax.
Dewayne Self for Senate!!
If all Mississippi Republicans could have seen Baker, Fitch and Taggart speak at Neshoba, Taggart would win in a landslide.
Andy Taggart was the first full time executive director of the GOP back when Fitch was still a democrat.
Looks like a run-off for the Gov between Tate and Waller which does not bode well for a statewide elected official. He takes his $5M and heads to the house. Thanks for playing. Delbert. Lynn and Andy in a runoff (see first sentence). Britton by a hair. Surprise of the night: put a Buck in the Treasury!
No Tater, No Baker, No Baked Potato.
I like the sound of this chant.
Buck Clark is an arrogant Hollandale hick. His own home town won't support him or vote for him. Feel Brant has come out with a commercial endorsement for everybody but Buck.
Anybody But Buck. The Buck stops now.
Did anyone else think Sam Britton's speech about Facts #1 & #2 remind you about Barney Fife's Malfeasance speech when he ran against Andy?
Why would McRae, who has supposed superior financial abilities, spend a $million of his own money to win/buy the State Treasurer position that pays $90,000 per year?
Are there no competent personal stylists in Mississippi?
With the exception of Hoseman and Waller, all these candidates need a makeover in the worst sort of way.
The clothes are ill-fitting or hopelessly dated and many must be color blind. Shoes are wrong for the outfits. Those with glasses have unflattering frames. The hair...OMG. And, some of you need a cosmetic dentist.
This can be done without spending more money than they now spend. This is about taste and what style flatters you.
You will represent MS to those you want to bring jobs here. If your appearance is sloppy and outdated, you will not be taken seriously. It may be fine in this small pond, but you must now survive in a bigger pond and will look like you are unschooled on what that pond is like.
Republicans should call Cindy Hyde Smith, her new makeover is very good and she no longer looks like a hillbilly. Get the name of her person.
I can’t find the video of Mark Baker screaming like a two year old when he was in the House. I think it was the 2012 session(could have been a year or two later) when the senate tried to add language about the TVA to an unrelated bill.
Any help in finding it would be appreciated.
Hmmm, some nut above supports Taggart and Kassich while claimimg Trump has many character flaws. Trump may have personal issues, albeit tiny compared to Kennedy, Clinton and Obama, yet Trump has the best economic plan of any president not named Reagan.
I voted against Trump in the primary and in the general election but I can admit that Trump has surprised me and is an excellent president. Taggart still can't admit the obvious that Trump is a good president.
Holding to one's convictions in times of stress is admirable. Stubbornness is sticking to one's biases despite being the facts lining up against you. Sadly, Taggart lives in the later camp.
I have come to notice how certain common political terms mean something totally different in different states. In Mississippi the term "conservative" is like wrapping yourself in the flag and has no real meaning if you are a Republican. The term "progressive' which is considered positive by Republicans and Democrats in many prosperous states, is like leprosy in Mississippi. It seems you can tell the economic condition of a place by the way it reacts to the same terms, not necessarily political parties. Examples: Conservative-Democrat, Progressive-Republican etc.
The most important vote you will ever cast will be NO to TATER TOT. When folks give him money because they are afraid of him you wonder. Ever wonder why TOT DOES NOT SAY MUCH ON TV. HE DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY.
In a way I hope Waller or Hood wins. Then it will not be long before you never Tate folks will be on here crying about your taxes going up. Both Waller and Hood want to give teachers a starting pay of 40 thousand. This will cost another 260 million on top of the 70 million a year more. Wonder where this money is going to come from? Then you have medicare expansion. Waller says it will not cost tax payers anything. Really, when is the last time you got something for nothing. The Hospital Assc. says they will underwrite this project. Do you really think they are wanting to do this because it will help the taxpayers of Mississippi? Not a chance. They know it means more profits for them and the cost for us will go up. Then we have the gas tax. Sure 2 cents a gallon is not that big of a deal but just like government they will want more. So when you are paying 50 cents more a gallon please dont get on this site and cry because it will be your fault. All because you don't like Tate, hell I don't really like Trump but I like how the economy is doing, I like the tax cuts and at the end of the day that is what I am looking for.
Mark Baker apparently has issues staying awake on the job. But I would sometimes prefer an elected office who sleeps his days away. They are limited on the amount of damage they can do.
2:52 You come across as a person who likes things the way they are. You should be thankful that you have a rock like Tater to voter for. Whether a rock can float we'll see. We know it can't move...but why move?
5:45 I guess you have forgotten when Musgrove was governor. This state was in terrible shape . Put Waller or Hood in and we will be right back to where we were then. I don't need a rock at Governor just someone who understands what can and can't be done. If Waller and Hood do what they have promised this state will once again be broke and you will be wishing my rock was in place.
2:52 boohoo, you are a part of the problem, just wait until Christmas and tell me where your tax cuts went.
Yeah 2:52, good thing we have a strong conservative candidate in tater tot who wants to use tax dollars on frontage roads to his gated community instead of on teacher pay raises (by the way, teacher pay is a major reason this state has a teacher shortage). You Tate apologists never cease to amaze me.
The next most alarmingly surprising disaster to the election of Hussein Obama as president will be the election of Tate Reeves as governor of Mississippi. But, his lieutenants are on this blog day and night in assigned shifts.
Will it really matter who becomes governor? Mississippi is and will always be at the top of every bad list and on the bottom of every good list. I'm going to vote for whoever does NOT have a Twitter account and is not a Trump enabler.
I have never understood the disdain people have for the AG (whether it's Hood or potential future AGs like Fitch) hiring private plaintiff attorneys. Do the plaintiff attorneys sometimes make good money from the cases? Yes...of course. Are the recoveries they are able to achieve also far larger than what a state staff attorney working for the AG's office can achieve? Yes, of course. They are hired guns, and moreover experts, in the field of litigation. I can only suspect all the derision comes because, yes, most plaintiff's attorneys are Democrats. But at the end of the day, which attorney do you want advocating on behalf of the State - an experienced GOP staff attorney who will settle a case for pennies, or an experienced Democrat plaintiff attorney who undoubtedly will collect a nice contingency, but who will also net the State and taxpayers a much larger payday?
Fallacy much @3:59 AM?
After listening to Gov. "Feel" on the Mississippi Today podcast, he sounded like a politician who is distancing himself from "Baby Face" Tate.
When you consider the folks who made contributions to Tate's campaign and now say they will vote for someone else, Tate must have that "deer in the headlights" look on the eve of the primary.
I will proudly cast my vote for Bill Waller tomorrow, and hope he will advance to November where I will support him again!
If you want a better state, don't vote for Tate!
Does anyone really want Tater in Charge? Think about it folks.
Reeves will win governor in a runoff with Foster.
Fitch will win AG.
Ford will win big.
If Fitch wins AG, no one will be happier than Jim Hood. He will be vindicated and his legacy will continue.
