WLBT Sucks!!! Fox reports election results 30 min before our local WLBT.

The winner of this election is... Voter Engagement.

Waited in line for an HOUR to vote... at 7 am... in South Jackson! Lines weren’t this long when Obama was on the ticket! And this is only a midterm !!

I love it. Quality of life is mostly determined by these boring local elections (see ‘Tommie Green’ eat al.) Not the National ones!

Apathy is the enemy, information and critical thinking is the key to a better life for all of us. Paying attention is the first step !

Anonymous said...

@7:46pm. WLBT does suck

Anonymous said...

Wicker is a klutz when it comes to public speaking.

Anonymous said...

Sorry McD, but you’re political career, beyond Jones County, will officially end in another hour. Maybe two. But you’re done and good riddance.

Johnny Weir said...

No vote count out of Rankin County. They are having computer problems.

Anonymous said...

Extremely disappointed in how difficult it is to find election results in this area. Clarion Ledger has no local races, WJTV and WAPT's web sites are way too clunky and user unfriendly, and WLBT doesn't update but about once an hour. Also past 9 p.m. and no results at all from Rankin County.

Big shout out to all the McDaniel supporters. Now that he has lost and wasted your vote, will you please go ahead and send him a postdated check for $15 to find his missing votes. There is also a GoFund Me page set up at chrismcdanielsisapieceofshit.com to provide bail for his campaign “volunteers” that will stumble into a courthouse somewhere in MS tonight. Of course, the “janitor/guard/ghost let them in defense” will be used once again. Too bad CHS did not have an elderly relative to illegally photograph in an effort to gain votes. I guess the “big guy” couldn’t find any super volunteers to go down that road again.

Now that the polls have closed, lets all meet up at the Mexican bar. I hear there are some hot “mamasitas” there tonight.

Espy will lose the runoff. Thanks for playing Mike.

Anonymous said...

When Espy wins, you can thank Thad Cochran.

Anonymous said...

looking good for McCarty and McDonald, might avoid runoffs

Espy showing well but unlikely to win runoff. Dems too far off in Senate to go all-out here.

looking forward to Trump’s 1040s and much, much more

Anonymous said...

Good riddance to bad rubbish- Chris McDaniel. Hopefully this will be the last we see of him.

Anonymous said...

I can't believe that we have to put up with that jerk Priester another 4 years as County Judge. Bennie carried him over the line.

Thank God thank God thank God thank God
thank God thank God THANK GOD !!!!!!!!!!!

Weill will be NO LONGER be on any judicial bench.
Justice just took one giant leap forward.
There are no words to describe my relief and overwhelming excitement that weill will soon be out of a job as any type of judge.
Could not have happened to a more deserving person. Maybe weill you could spend some time now learn how to be a decent human being and a fair and just judge. Please spend this free time your about to have actually studying and learning the LAW.
THANK GOD

McDaniel didn’t even win a majority in Jones, ran 200,000 votes behind CHS and only won 2 counties. About as decisive a loss as you can get.

Anonymous said...

Overall, I am encouraged by the results nationally. Hopefully Trump can get himself under control and start representing the wishes of the majority of moderate Americans. A little respect for the constitution will go a long way with a large portion of us.

Anonymous said...

CHS vs Espy in runoff. The fact that McDaniel is not in the runoff is a win for every Mississippian.

Bye-bye, Chris. Back to Ellisville with you! There's always next time where you can go toe-to-toe with Shawn O'Hara for last place.

I have no idea what a 'Br'er Rabbit' routine is, but we are officially launching years of paralysis in the House effective with the swearings in.

Nancy has her lap dog trained already, the AP is reporting that Trump called her to congratulate her last night. The dems will rule as He tries to control the numerous investagations they want to launch. Remember all of the things he said about Maxine Waters? Come January she will be the nices person in the country.

Anonymous said...

Has anybody ever come as close to being a US Senator as McDaniel? He saw an opportunity and had the thing won. A handful of his own kooky birds took it from him.

Anonymous said...

Who cares what Trump's tax returns look like? Well, I guess nimrods with nothing better to do are clamoring at the chance. However, no election nor any shift in the House will have any impact whatsoever on a sitting president being forced to reveal his private information. Not to mention it's none of your damned business.

But maybe now we will get to see Cindy's boots and pressed denim shirt on display in a glass case at the Governor's mansion.

Espy won't get out of the blocks. The 'reveal' will tarnish what little image he has left.

Making Pelosi Great Again.

Senate going to be +4 when all is said and done. McConnell will get a ton of federal judges approved. There was no blue wave, it was a good night.

Got news for you Mike. You already got any white votes last night that you were going to get. McDaniel supporters won't vote for you. Hell no. Make that big check out to Brad Chism for his bullshit narrative that you could actually pull this off.

10:18, we'll see Trump's 1040's just about as soon as we see your 1040EZ; 12:11, please be specific where Trump has violated the Constitution; 5:34, just keep repeating this phrase to yourself "Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters..." it gives me chills, and should keep you up at night; and PLEASE, Democrats - elect Pelosi as Speaker...and get ready to for another Trump inauguration in January 2021!

Our saving grace is that the Republicans held and added seats in the Senate which will throw a wet blanket on any attempts to derail and turn back the economic, regulatory and tax reform that has taken place; it will not, however keep Nadler and Schiff from ginning up bullshit investigations which will waste the time and resources of the government, not to mention taxpayer dollars.

Here's what will completely blow the Democrats away. IF and it's a huge IF they were to come up with some even half assed decent legislation...Trump would work with them. In the end the crazy S.O.B. is about getting things done. So now they just need to decide if they want to govern or continue the 2016 melt.

Well the runoff with CHS, Espy, and McDaniel went about as expected.

Mississippi Republicans came to their senses and voted for CHS. They may not like her, but they did not want to be on the national stage with an Espy vs. McDaniel runoff.

So this will be a relatively easy cover-up to say the state is becoming progressive by electing a woman to the senate for the first time.

When all of us that live here knows the runoff will simply be black vs. white, with whites coming out overwhelmingly for CHS and blacks for Espy.

Mississippi conservatives need to get over themselves and need to stop calling a CHS a RINO. She has held the line for trump since being in D.C. The people of Mississippi voted for Trump, she's supported him with blind allegiance. She needs to get credit for doing what you all asked her to do.

Anonymous said...

You backed the wrong horse Dorsey and no matter what you think your Democrat friends will not forget it. That's how they roll.

Chuck Schumer absolutely screwed up on Kavanaugh. It has to be one of the biggest strategic gaffes of the last 50 years. Schumer, and Reid before him, guaranteed a Republican makeover of the Federal judiciary that will last a generation. McConnell is going to push through Trump's 9th Circuit nominees and Democrat heads will explode!

7:55 am Nov.7
You are 100% correct. I hope the voters are prepared to get what they voted for over the next two years.
Pelosi and the rest of the dems will spent the next two years clogging up the system trying to pin anything on Trump.
They are totally blinded by their hate of Trump.
7:59 am
Yes I truly believe the last two years trump would have gladly worked with the dems if they could have gotten themselves past their trump derangement syndrome and met with him.

@10:34 PM, judging by your childish outburst (complete with the "all caps" button depressed) one of your immediate family members was held accountable for bad behavior in Judge Weill's court and sentenced appropriately. Maybe you should save your end zone victory dance energy that will be needed while appearing before the parole board in favor of your loved one.

When all of us that live here knows the runoff will simply be black vs. white, with whites coming out overwhelmingly for CHS and blacks for Espy.

Speak for yourself, fartknocker. It's about reining in the unbridled hatred of the national left. Giving them another seat in the Senate will offer them more power to pursue their campaign of hate.

Now is the time to change the flag. The vote for Mr. "DEFEND OUR FLAG" McDaniel at a paltry 16%. I think Mississippians are coming to understand that we need a banner that all citizens can look to - one that unites rather than divides.

I say give the Stennis flag a chance.

The best thing to ensure Trump 2020 happened last night.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg... how long can she be propped up?

Now we will see “The Art of the Deal” in action. It will drive Democrats and Republicans crazy.

8:19 AM - Spot on - Right now 1/6 of the federal judges are Trump appointees. Will be close to 1/3 by 2020. Any pending appointments from this term will be rammed through by McConnell just before the Christmas Break.

7:59 AM - Also correct. No signable legislation will come out of the house because the Dems won't want to let Trump claim a victory on anything. It will be "Get Trump" 24/7 for the next 2 years.

Huge hidden victory for Repubs last night. By picking up so many Senate seats, they have 90% locked the Dems out of taking the Senate in 2020. The map in 2020 is not a whole lot better for the Dems, taking 5-6 seats will be next to impossible.

Huge loss for the media last night - every media darling lost (FL,GA,TX). Everyone Obama pitched for lost. Every close Senate seat that Trump pitched for won except for Nevada, where Harry Reid still have tremendous clout.

Anonymous said...

If Trump wins in 2020, almost 70% of the Federal judges will be Trump appointees by the time he leaves office. He will get 2 more Supreme Court picks and the Dems will be locked out of the courts for 2 generations. The Dems ran on health care, if they don't produce some fixes, Trump wins in 2020.

Hopefully the runoffs will get even better with:

Cowgirl (CHS) over plaintiff (mornag&morgan) lawyer with tainted past (given he wasn't convicted of accepting $$$$ but those who gave, were convicted). Could this have been in Green's courtroom?

Jeff Weill; the kind of judge Mississippi is in desperate need of and the defeat of Green, the kind of judge we are desperately NOT in need of.

The irony to talk about unbridled hate on the national stage, but can't even check the racial animus in their own backyard. The countless blacks that have been murdered at the hands of white men that have not been accountable for those crimes. But you want to sell the b.s. that your vote is from a political intellectual standpoint and not racial bias?

Anonymous said...

Now Espy is whining again about debates.

Anonymous said...

Obama's non-existent coattails were on display again.

Anonymous said...

Dear Chris McDaniel supporters, to those of you who will not be pouting at home during the runoff election, please consider Espy over CHS. You say she is a true Democrat. Mike Espy is moderate and his own person. He can work across the aisle to get things accomplished for us. Cindy, while I'm sure she is a nice person, is a political puppet and cannot do anything progressive for Mississippi.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure CHS will again be "too busy working in D.C." to attend a debate.

Anonymous said...

The countless blacks that have been murdered at the hands of white men that have not been accountable for those crimes.

That is indeed awful and a travesty. Just curious, what party were those unaccountable white men supporting as they murdered "countless blacks"?

That's right, Gertrude.

I wasn't alive back then. My vote is not based on racial bias, period. I know you don't believe me because you are driven by hatred. We've come to expect such from the left.

Are you equally upset over the countless blacks that have more recently been murdered at the hands of other blacks who have not been accountable for those crimes? Didn't think so.

Anonymous said...

11:56,

WTF are you talking about? Murder? Your logic says vote for Mike because some people were killed 50 years ago. It's 2018. I'm voting for whichever warm body will let me keep more of my hard earned money while protecting me and mine from the idiots that want to take it away...that includes criminals and politicians.

Anonymous said...

No thanks @1:18 PM. You can smoke that bad dope, I'm not. Espy will do what Schumer tells him to do. Espy is for open borders. Espy would have voted against Kavanaugh. Voted for McDaniel yesterday, voting for Hyde-Smith next. Haven't run into one McDaniel supporter today that says they're going to vote for Espy.

"In 2010, Obama lost 63 seats. In 1994, Clinton lost 52. You have to go all the way back to Reagan to find a Republican loss the same as Trump’s -- 26 in 1982. None lost their second term.

The shellacking Obama received in 2010 -- a nuclear explosion compared to 2018 -- was even more of an indictment of his presidency than we are seeing with Trump’s."

Anonymous said...

(whispers) No leaders in the Democratic Party support “open borders.” Obama deported 2.5 million people.

He was found not guilty, however; his campaign manager was and Tyson was found guilty of paying espy a bribe.
If espy was doing that in Jackson,MS imagine what he will get into in Washington.
No way does he need to be sent there.
so what if CHS was once a Dem she apparently saw the error of her ways.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
