Inspired by the comments on the Matchbook Monday post, no doubt!
One of these restaurants is still in business in the same place.
One is still in business in a different place.
One is back in business after a long hiatus.
All the rest are gone.
And my, wasn't Hunter Gibson popular?
12:12 - you aren't giving credit to "George Street Grocery" and "The Tavern on George Street" as being equivalent to the Iron Horse? Same location, different owners - and slightly different name.
Interesting analysis, though. The one still in business is the one that is subsidized by the state.
I enjoyed many of those on the way to the 2001 "butt hut" Bar (restaurant?) on County line Road.
I think it was 1001...one thousand and one
Which is still in business? Subsidized by the State?
Literally every restaurant at Renaissance is subsidized by the state. Just the way things go in this "conservative" place.
How does the state subsidize a private restaurant?
I think 2:01 meant the Ag Museum Cafe.
That was me posting about Catfish "Shak" on Matchbook Monday. So cool to see the ad for it!
Harvey's Tavern is in the building on Lakeland that has housed El Charro for years. Same stained glass on the windows and probably the same creeping philodendron in the window boxes.
El Charro? It began with Archie Manning as an investor in The Ground Patti, if I'm not mistaken.... but now, the best burgers are at Lou's Full Serv, IMHO...
