Check out these pictures from Northpark. Part of the parking lot was repaved this week, right before Black Friday. However, one little task was forgotten. What could possibly go wrong?

No painted lines for parking spaces, recipee for chaos.
I would gladly take risk and chaos of roadways without striping if our totally inept and dysfunctional Jackson government could find a way to get the damn streets paved.
I doubt it was 'forgotten' KF. You are as idiotic cynical as many of those who make comments without thinking on your site.
There is a timing factor between paving and painting. And it could be that they were fovusing on Black Friday but rather the Christmas shopping season.
Would have been a good observation for you to post if you didn't assume that they had not the ability to "remember" to paint lines.
Not a big deal, nobody paid attention to the lines anyway.
Probably was still adequate parking without the lines. I’m finding where a larger number of people don’t pay attention to the lines anyway. This is no big deal.
You should wait 2-4 days before striping.
I would criticize Kingfish for this idiotic thread but he would just lambaste me and ask me 'why do you come on this site anyway'?
I have not been to NorthPark in years.
Looks like something Trump would do to me.
The lines are merely suggestions...
Went to Northpark for Black Friday and was pleasantly surprised by the new updates. It has a very sleek modern look and makes it a more inviting place to shop.
It’s meant to not cause offense.
That lot was reserved for Millennial Shoppers. They can't stand the emotional strain of parking rules, or suggestions.
North Park still has the best shopping in the metro area.
Parking lot lines lead to the lack of inclusiveness, white priviledge, income inequality, and actually they may have a triggering effect.
This leads to the requirement for the business to provide a safe space, comfort dogs, hot chocolate, teddy bears, and counselors.
This is yellow journalism. The real story is that this was part of an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation of the interior and exterior of the mall, an eight-month project (Phase 1).
The grand opening was on November 15.
What were your comments again regarding someone finally doing some investigative reporting?
Yep. These days we're just "blurring" the lines anyway.
This is yellow journalism.
Get over yourself.
FYI, the owners of Maywood Mart decided to do a major parking lot renovation the week of Thanksgiving. That's one of the worst parking lots in Jackson on a regular day. It was a nightmare. Not sure about the current status. They had some sections blocked off, some with no lines, etc.
P.S. That Maywood Mart parking lot situation is unchanged this week. Actually worse than week of Thanksgiving.
