More black on black crime. That guy makes good donuts and is really friendly. Probably will be moving out of Jackson like everything else.
No cops were present?
Not to make light of the robbery, and I hope they catch the thugs and the owners are ok, but man, the potential for bribing the cops with donuts could be huge!
The scene of the crime pics would be meme worthy.
"Perception of Crime"
OH NO! Monroe is the hardest, most honest man there is. He has worked his butt off to get where he is at & to get robbed by some Democrat is terrible.
3:06. paying small business tax in this state is like being legally robbed by Republicans.
Best donuts in the metro, and a very nice man.
Monroe gets up at 3am everyday to make pastries to EARN his living at his stores. This crook rolls up at 1:30pm to steal from this hardworking man. Monroe should arm himself to the teeth.
Unless he's closed, Monroe's Donuts is also on Northside Drive at 49 and opened a location in Ridgeland two years ago on Rice Road west of Kangaroo. Errybaddy love a good donut.
3:20 - just what "small business tax" are you referring to? Any that have been passed during Republican administrations? Or are you talking about the local taxes - in this case, to the very Republican City of Jackson?
LOVE that place. Best donuts in the state. Sorry that happened to him.
Just saw on WLBT that suspects are in custody and no one was injured. Recovered cash and a firearm. Cops... everywhere...
The robbery of a doughnut shop is no laughing
matter.
If JJ readers want to be real and are worth a damn, go buy a dozen tomorrow.
If a donut shop gets robbed it is all hands on deck to solve it. That's a more serious crime than robbing an on-duty police dispatcher. :)
How many dozen have you bought this year 6:48? Be real.
5:16 PM, the Rice Road location has Ben closed for several months, if not in excess of a year. Just didn’t last long there.
Bad location with all that traffic at the Rice/Old Canton intersection. Plus, there are half price donuts at the Kangaroo.
4:59 AM - It closed because there aren't enough cops in the area to sustain it.
