Read the post that rocked the Mississippi political world this week. No, it's not Clayton Kelly or anything Senate-race related, but instead something our friends at Slabbed posted on Sunday. Where is Waldo?
For people that make their living doing political coms consulting, the golden children of the Boss Hogg administration have not fared as well since Boss’s coattails departed the Govs mansion back in 2011 and the above criticism, from an well known, seasoned political operative had to sting. And yet it is more than just giving bad campaign advice as issues involving the maturity certain of the GOP golden boys have also been raised right here on these pages but the focus of my search was for Frontiersman Joe Cloyd and his long rumored no bid contracts with Mississippi DMR that morphed into a long term project.
You see folks normally you’d head straight over to the Mississippi State Transparency portal and pull up all the contracts by state agency and then locate the one you’re looking for – wham, bam, boom its done. But nothing connected with Joe Cloyd ever came up thus the issue became one of resolving the information imparted to Slabbed by sources in the Bolton Building Janitorial Department, an impeccable source of information on all things DMR without cluing the General in as to which sanitation engineer was leaking Slabbed New Media....
Now back to those rumored Joe Cloyd contracts the janitors were carrying on so about. One way a state contract could be hidden from the Transparency website would be to have a prime contractor and a subcontractor like was done with the Horne CPA review of the agencies finances and what we need to do is circle back to an old 404 Sun Herald story that lives on in cyberspace on another media site for more background:...... Rest of post.
For some strange reason, conservative-leaning websites in Mississippi didn't mention this post nor did they link it.

There are plenty of contracts that are not required to be bid. Just because something is a "no bid" contract doesn't automatically mean that it's bullshit.
It seems like everyone automatically assumes that any no bid contract is part of some giant kickback scheme.
Josh Gregory has to be the most incompetent political operative in Mississippi state history. Guess who's campaign he is running now. Tea Party favorite Joel Bomgaars up in Madison. Same guy that is supporting tea party opponents against other elected republican legislators. Yes the same guy that supported McDaniel. You just can't make up this stuff about Gregory. He is a walking disaster. You would think he is working with the democrat party since he seems to be helping them so much. Thanks Phil for bringing this idiot to us and allowing him to screw our party over and over again.
Josh screwed up the Thad's first race so bad along with Simms, Gubnor Bryant's chief of staff, that they were fired from the campaign and Simms was fired from the Gubnors staff. Then Josh talked Bryant into going to Biloxi to support an idiot for mayor that got his brains beat out in the election. When are these people going to learn? Definition of insanity is right here!!! Maybe if the Gubnor would hire some men instead of these girly-guys with sugar in their britches he might get better advice.
No-bid contracts are badly abused in Mississippi June 18, 2015 at 8:07 AM. History has proven that it is extremely safe to assume bullshit first. In any event, there are no services that Frontier provides that couldn't be competitively bid out.
Little Josh, still does not understand the principles of a ground game. Which was how Phil beat Charlie Ross in Rankin County, but Billy Powell was in charge of that one!
As an example of no bid contracts that were recently handed to Frontier lets take the 2013 DPS contract, for over a million dollars, that told us all do not drink and drive over the holidays. Nobody seemed to know that Thanksgiving and Christmas are always in November and December each year. Once they discovered this at DPS in October, the sole source emergency contract was the only way to protect the public. Now that is some real BS that the public has been fed. Anything that involves Frontier these days is suspect.
There is a rumor on the coast that Biloxi mayoral candidate that the republicant machine got behind will be (maybe already is?) holding a a senior management position at the DMR.
Never heard of "Slabbed." He must have missed the English class when they studied the use of the comma. I was able to figure out what he said, but it took too much time and effort.
Once again the esteemed firm of Butler-Snow knee deep in another mess, this time in their more traditional role of aiding Haley Barbour and his hand picked cronies in lightening the wallets of the citizens of MS, after all acting as the puppetmaster for Madison's Mayor Butler must be boring compared to the more lucrative no-bid fleecing biz. Where is Haley anyway these days? Rumor is he was tipped off by Trent Lott about an "easy mark" in the form of Lott's new Lobbying client Vladimir Putin so the 2 of them eloped to Russia to scope out the landscape and look for a couple of golden boys to shill for them on Kommizar no bid work and find a store front for the next Butler-Snow office. Let's see how long it takes Putin to feel the hairy hands of Haley rummaging through his pockets.
Josh and Quentin are screwed after Pheels next term is over. Tater will be in charge of state agencies then and will assure no one works with them. I predict Dickerson moves to Texas and Josh disappears into the fog.......
Double Cheeseburger Chin Reeves is no shoe-in to win the Governorship. Far from it. See you at Fenian's.

I would bet a very large percentage of the traffic on any give day turns out to be folks like Josh Gregory checking to see what double dealing has been posted about them. Frontier Strategies and affiliates might be the only group in Mississippi that gets statewide coverage from the muckrakers. I wonder why?
Slabbed "rocked the political world" this week? Surely you jest, KF. As a member of the political world, I don't remember being rocked, or even slightly shaken, this week by anything written by Slabbed. Even though he wrote it in 2nd grade English, there wasn't anything really new in this column.
Josh Gregory is playing major political operative on the Coast? Damn, that's news.
Joe Cloyd is playing political operative on the Coast and is associated with Gregory in Frontier Strategies? Fasten the seatbelt, the rocking is too great
Cloyd/Frontier has a contract with DMR? Gosh damn, hold me down. It was one of them terrible 'no-bid' contracts? Oh now I understand. Didn't know that. Never even heard it. It was part of Horne's contract? Guess I dreamed reading about that months ago.
Seriously KF. What's rocking about this, other than Slabbed's writing quality has gone below Donnerkay's and Cmouths
11:56, who do you think could beat him then? Not trying to be a smart ass, but I'm genuinely curious?
He will have the deepest war chest by far I predict.
Jackson County supervisors getting kind of worried. Issued a statement about SRHS, threaten to file a complaint on Trustee Tolleson with Mississippi Ethics Commission, and take a whack at the Sun Herald.
