The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued the following statement:
Agents
of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation have arrested two more
people in the death investigation of Hattiesburg police officers
Benjamin Deen and Liquori
Tate. Both are being held on obstruction of justice charges. They have
been identified as 21-year-old Douglas Diquan McPhail and 19-year-old
Anquanette L. Alexander. Both suspects are being held in the Forrest
County Jail awaiting their initial court appearances.
McPhail’s last known address is 911 East Laurel Avenue, Alexander’s
last known address is 402 South Tipton Street both of Hattiesburg. These
arrests bring to a total seven individuals charged as the investigation
continues.

Are all these additional arrests people who may have helped the shooter avoid arrest initially, people who may have knowledge of the location of the murder weapon (which last I heard has not been found) or maybe who provided the gun to a felon, or are these people connected to something bigger in Hattiesburg than a routine traffic stop that resulted in the killing of two police officers?
All qualify as knuckleheads. That's five more off the street.
