Quake seems to have been centered under the Nissan plant. No explosions out there, eh?
Two events so far @20:15. Anybody know where the nearest SWD injection well IS.
My house in gluckstadt has shaken three times. I wish I would have read my insurance policy closer now.
Felt it in Gluckstadt for sure. 3 small events since then.
Is anyone checking the reservoir dam?
3.2 5km deep. At least it was a shallow one.

I think somebody put up another peacock
It's probably Rudy's fault.
3.2 is not an earthquake Mississippi wusses!
3.2 is a little shaking... Geez. What's next? A tsunami warning?
What? A tsunami??? I live like 40 feet from the edge of the reservoir.
I wish everyone would relax. Mayor Mary just slipped and fell. She couldn't handle all of the sporting events today taking the focus off of her. We all know she can be dramatic!
Did any urban eggs break?
3.2 is not a quake, but its not something that happens here often. Kind of exciting.
We felt the first one; Near Annandale.
The suburbs are LOST! What a shame!
Rudy has gas.
$10 says that Mary tries to blame this on Rudy.
Also, I think we felt a total of four tremors at our house near Gluckstadt. Definitly a strange feeling. We didn't know what the crap happened at first until some neighbors found the USGS reports on the quakes.
The Madison Kroger is reporting initial losses of $268.38 of pickle relish on isle #6 and potential structural damage to a plastic Corinthian column on the Hoy Road side of their gas station.
#2 - Probably not SWD injection, but some other type of injection wells near or on the Nissan plant. Perhaps a diligent reporter will ask the MDEQ where the injection wells are located. And if there is one in Madison County (either at Nissan or operated by Denbury), there's your catalyst for the fault line slippage.
Go as Butch !!!! The county pays Butch to know everything!!! Oh, wait, there were no tv cameras anywhere 'ON SITE' so he didn't even get out of his chair.
With a little help from Canton, we will rebuild.
wait until the terms of your loan on your home change to require earthquake insurance.
this will no longer be a laughing matter as that insurance is as high as bird tail.
Great humor for my Sunday morning.
I remember seeing that hilarious photo on the web. An earthquake in Virginia or somewhere.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.Matt 24:7
No 8:22, nobody is assigned responsibility for checking on dams and other critical infrastructure during earthquakes or other events.
Great idea. Run for office, Goober.
@9:55am,
I've had earthquake insurance on my home in MS for decades. It's not that expensive.
