It's only a perception of a shooting, right? There are no gangs in Jackson, right? It's because of "open carry" and guns shows, right?

I visit Jackson once a month to see my shrink at the VA. I enjoy the visits because I usually see at least two or three of my old Army buddies while there.

Now if I hear those type gun shots that shigity will put me into the ready mode!

They’ve killed 2 innocent bystanders in the last week or so, one on Ellis Ave. and one on North State St. I’m sure it will happen more frequently with idiots like those in the video hanging out of car windows randomly firing semiautomatic weapons that they probably don’t have a clue how to breakdown and clean.

I think the gas price was $2.74 and diesel was $3.70, but I couldn't see clearly. Another clue would be the car tag expiration dates, but again, I can see them clearly.

Question 1: why did the camera start zooming in as they were about to turn, is this a dash cam or someone filming? Had they already heard some shots?

Question 2: did the u-turn cause the shooter to flip the giggle switch? If so, I’m surprised he had the skills to change it back to semi auto hanging out the window like that.

People think I’m crazy for the amount of fire-power I take with me when working in Jackson. There’s very few streets I haven’t been on in Jackson in the last few years, I hear gunshots like this regularly. Although I’m confident in my skills with my EDC, and can draw faster and shoot better than those that don’t regularly train, I’m not going to be out-gunned. The days of facing someone with a stolen High Point or a nickel plated .25 are quickly diminishing. Seems every shooting now involves a crappy AK clone or someone’s stolen AR truck gun, which is probably going to be a decently accurate rifle. Thank the Good Lord these guys don’t go to the range and learn how to shoot. I also realize that the chances of some guys like this targeting me are slim, as long as I don’t steal their dope, owe them money, or “disrespect” them, but that doesn’t prevent me from having 2-3 pistol mags and 2 loaded rifle mags within arms reach at all times.

This looks staged... or perhaps was a test run to see what would happen after unloading out in the public with an auto/semi-auto weapon. Oh, of course - nothing happened.

It happened the weekend of October 28, 2023. We were in town for a soccer tournament and drove through the intersection a few minutes after it happened.

This saddened me to know everyday you are listening to the news about and homicide crime has happened.The city of Jackson is out of control with these young thugs that just dont give a damn about who they robbed, carjacked and murder. JPD can't handle this problem. The crime problem need to be handled with the National Guard, FBI and other agencies to come in here do what they need to do. The legislative need to change the laws in this state. The judges need to set their bonds so high, these criminals will think twice about it. Kids raising kids and the parents won't to be their friends instead of training up a child. Some of these kids need a good ole fashion ass whipping like I got when I was growing up. I'm still alive and very thankful for those ass whooping. You appreciate what your parents done. Jackson, Mississippi number 1 in the USA for worst city for crime. The state of Mississippi is listed as one of the most poorest state in the USA. MISSISSIPPI is 20 years behind time with low job wages,houses and education. All the the so called politicians want to fill their pockets up live a lavish lifestyle. 7:47 PM, William Winter may have been one of “the best governor’s” but a couple of decades after he served as Mississippi’s 58th he had gotten on board fully with the race baiting required to make people “mad enough to vote” Democrat.

He also lived long enough to see Jackson destroyed by his party but like other rich white elitist Democrats that live in safe areas (some behind gates) where their children aren’t being murdered or killed with stray bullets, I don’t ever once remember him speaking out against the lawlessness his party uses to control cities.

That gas station is only about 5 or 6 months old so that is recent enough. Had very similar incident in Midtown Memphis two weeks ago... I guess Jackson couldn't let that go unanswered.
