Either legalize the stuff and let the idiots consume it by the handful, or give the death penalty for trafficking. The government has being doing the kabuki dance far too long.
With all the publicity that's out there, who in hell is stupid enough to purchase and ingest fentanyl?
Not familiar with this neighborhood. Can't be in the city limits of Madison since that's a marijuana free area...plus the sheriff's boys were involved.
There was a shooting in this same neighborhood last year too. I wonder if there is a connection.
Bubba at 9:52 - I don't want to see fentanyl legalized for street sale.
It's a Canton address but in the county.
The home is for sale. Good luck in removing the fentanyl residue. I am positive that the sellers realtor will disclose this. Right?
What a f**kin' dump the USA has become with de facto legalized casual drug use. No, not in favor of @9:52 's alternative of making it legal. I'll veer off the other way and let's just cull the herd, death penalty to both convicted traffickers AND users.
Legalize fentanyl and be prepared to hand out naloxone at every street corner and just hope that the drug-addled aren’t so loaded they can’t save the lives of their toddlers who found their stash.
Fentanyl is the Russian Roulette of the narco industry. Certain types of exposure to as little as 2 milligrams — think 5 grains of salt — can be fatal.
@9:24 - Removing the fentanyl residue? There is no evidence that being in a room where fentanyl has been has any harmful effects. Strange jump to "Bet they don't disclose that."
Do we disclose where cocaine has been? Hey, there were some crack rocks there once. Don't buy that house.
I believe meth is the only one I know of in our area that must be disclosed, and rightfully so.

Fentanyl, produced by Biden's pals in China and smuggled (walked) across his "secure" border from Mexico.
100s of Americans are dying everyday from fentanyl. FJB.
Oakdale subdivision is off Yandall Road between Hwy 51/Gluckstadt exit and Deerfield. Bunch of new subdivisions in that area.
@10:35 - the myth that briefly touching fentanyl residue can kill you was started by a cop who overdosed and blamed it on touching a small amount. It’s not a real hazard, just the excuse of a drug user, but since they were a cop everyone went with it.

If anyone really wants to discuss how ignorant Mississippians are, they only need to study the comments on the jambalaya. I just can’t even believe what I’m reading.
Dope is hope in the land of not enough to go around. "Well, I can ease your pain, and get you on your feet again...." Look at the bright side. The war in Afghanistan pretty much ended when the Brotherhood of Death learned how to synthesize opium. The name "Poppy" Bush....that's absolutely hilarious.
Man hate to hear this Mitch was a popular salesman at a Prominent Dealership in the metro area. The owner tried to get him into a program guess it didnt help.
@11:52 Incorrect. Oakfield is on the east side of Clarkdell Road between Yandell Road and Green Oak. It is comprised of Western Ridge, Woodscape, White Oak, Whitney's Ridge, Ashby Ridge, and Wild Oak.
Why are you people twisted up about legal fentanyl? It's like grampus has gone full on stupid with these fantasies.
Say it ain't so!!!! In the land of milk and honey, how could this possibly happen???
One suspect states on social media she is employed at the Madison County Detention Center. MCSO said the nurse has not been employed there for over a year.
11:50 Apparently these folks don’t care if some of their customers die from the fentanyl they sell.
@2:50 - Since your nose is up the sheriff's ass, surely you can get the full dope on this gal and her employment there.
9:52 Why don’t you take fentanyl and cocaine yourselves & leave all of us out of the equation. You have lost all hope of being a contributor to society! As for me and my house, love your neighbors as yourself!
Just like alcohol prohibition, the war on drugs is a failure. The people who want to use are going to use not matter what the laws say. As long as there is a market, someone will supply it - no matter the risk. The only reasonable answer is to decriminalize the crap and use the money saved on courts, cops, prisons, etc. for treatment and rehab. We could probably have treatment for every addict in the country for a fraction of what we are spending to catch, convict, and incarcerate. This would also reduce gun crime to a fraction of its current level. Everybody wins.
Y’all history fans should either read up on, or watch a YouTube video about, the Opium Wars in China. They learned a lot from when the British Crown introduce Indian Opium into China and used it to addict and control the majority of Chinese Imperial Society. They also extracted the entire inventory of Imperial Silver and nearly all of the Imperial gold. History repeats.
I’m not surprised at all that you hillbillies don’t understand that theoretically if people wanted legal fentanyl then it could be dispensed the way it is dispensed in the hospital via a computer controlled IV drip. If I were to theorize further, I would say it could be combined with a spatial computing device such as the Apple Vision Pro of the Meta Quest 3 to give the participants a quite safe and quite secluded and private experience.
5:01 Just like socialism: Never worked anywhere. EVER.
Give Oregon a call.
Amazing the comments on here to legalize drugs especially fentanyl. Anybody calling for that has no concern for their fellow man. Drugs are a rot on society.
San Francisco will be the first city to have sidewalk kiosks, with recliners and headphones, where dwellers can hook up to a drip and trip.
Yellow Submarine, E-Leck-Trickle Banana, Imagine and Hotel California will be included in the rotation.
Prescibed fentanyl patches and lollipops are some of the biggest culprits when it comes to fatalities in toddlers. A used patch has more than enough residue to kill. A 1 year old fell down and scraped her knee, Grandma put a fentanyl patch “bandaid” on it, child died within the hour. Another youngster took his toy truck to the nursing home to see grandpa, there were used fentanyl patches stuck to patients’ beds, in garbage cans, sounded like the place was littered with them. Child rolled his truck over one, peeled it off and stuck it on himself. Dead 4 hours later. I could go on. Source: NHI.gov
I know a couple of those guys. Awful situation but this might be the only thing that keeps them alive.
@9:52 legalize the stuff? Maybe marijuana but not any of that other stuff.
If they legalize fentanyl, here's a stock tip: invest heavily in casket companies.
You know all those Madison sheriffs were lined up to get a piece of the loot. That type lives the drug war. You can bet that house got cleaned out of anything of value.
Oh the joy of karma little girl
@ 12:19 - When someone speaks disparagingly of law enforcement in general, they've either been jailed or busted. The PoPo obviously has experience with your family. Perhaps a few of your 'close cousins' been harassed, locked up, charged and convicted? So, the blue are all corrupted.
Pro tip: There is only ONE sheriff in each county.
@5:46 - or maybe they watch the news
@2:48 you’re so dang right… karma for little Ms. Embry
I can’t wait to see how long these scumbags get. People going to say they were at the wrong place at the wrong time hahahaha. Yeah okay.. those ppl been hanging around together a little too long to not know what was up.
Legalizing drugs is a lazy answer. What we are doing may not be working effectively but I would hate the thought of my kids growing up in a country with no repurcussion for drug use. Murder is illegal yet it is committed everyday. We could save money on courts by legalizing it as well. However, I doubt anyone would agree with it. The truth is there is no good answer. However, legalizing it is clearly not the answer. That is just ignorant on all accounts. Say what you want about Mississippi however common sense is not defined by geography. Also, Cody is loser. Any law that keeps that scum off the street I am in favor of. Lock him up and forget he exist.
JJ was the only media outlet that even published anything on this ordeal. Any updates on this case?
Just saw that the female in this case, passed Tuesday.
