The Pearl Police Department issued the following statement.
Pearl Police arrested Charlie Winston IV, 26, from Jackson, for impersonating
a police officer Wednesday morning.
Winston,
driving a black 2016 Kia Soul, with white flashing lights on the dash
and visors, pulled over another driver on Interstate 20 near Pearson Rd.
around 9 a.m.
Wednesday.
Pearl
Police were notified of the stop and when officers arrived they saw a
tactical vest and what appeared to be two handguns in the passenger seat
of Winston’s vehicle.
The guns turned out to be BB guns that looked very real.
Winston is charged with impersonating an officer and no driver’s license.
Pearl
Police Investigators are asking the public if they have come in contact
with Winston to call the Criminal Investigations Division at
601-932-3578 or email

Mr Winston will soon be wearing a lampshade.
Who pulls over for someone driving a Kia with flashing dash lights????? C’mon people!!!!!!!
His name implies a known lineage going back at least four generations. Bull Shit.
What an idiot. The last place I would try that is on 20 in Pearl. Always PoPo there. Idiot.
Who is stupid enough to pull over for a KIA Soul with white lights?
He were look for a Texas tag. Drug confixation.
Kingfish has a entry from 7/13/2017, Charles Winston IV arrested for being bad as in carjacking and given 170k in bail in Hinds County. Not that long ago, must have been blessed or never stood trial.
Maybe he turned life around, practicing for a career in LE?
A quick search on arrests.org shows this is not necessarily a new thing for him, but hopefully now it will be the last. 9/3/16 - arrested in Madison for suspended license and improper equipment on vehicle, 7/11/17 - arrested in Byram for Armed Robbery/Carjacking, 10/2/17 - arrested by US Marshalls in Madison for Carjacking/Attempted carjacking.
Glad they got him... Byram PD arrested him back in July 2017 for Armed Robbery and Carjacking. See their post https://www.facebook.com/byrampd/posts/1786612814689371
The part that KF and the local media is failing to report (no surprise) is that this creep was pulling over young pretty white girls.
For some reason I laughed out loud at the thought of a guy driving around impersonating a cop with guns on the front seat while having a suspended drivers license.
His penalty need to be sitting on the side of the road wearing a dunce cap that says, I am not the po po.
Seriously - How was this gentleman loose in society with that many recent arrests on serious charges, federal, state and local?
Please note that I did not mention race, did not draw any conclusions as to his mental condition, did not refer to him as a thug and did not judge his guilt on the prior charges.
At 9:58. Most likely you will find this is most likely due to the ACLU. That's why he is out. The Armed Robbery and Carjacking are probably not being pursed as Violent Crimes since he did not shoot anyone or discharge the weapon that I can find. Betting this to be true. DWLS and Impersonating a cop are usually misdemeanors.

Armed robbery, carjacking, attempted carjacking...loose on the streets?
Anyone remember someone doing this around Tunica several years back and killing someone? Seems to me part of this problem is unmarked law enforcement vehicles. Yesterday I was behind an unmarked F-150 pickup truck with small hidden blue lights riding the bumper of a car trying to pull them over for a mile or more. All I could think is that I wouldn’t pull over for that truck until I was at a service station or other crowded place and I certainly wouldn’t want my teenage daughter or wife to do so.
For public safety all law enforcement vehicles should be clearly marked as such.
7:35 - Just wait until you get on the Natchez Trace. Those cowboys are in pickups, Bat-mobiles and junkers. They'll pull your ass over if you're in a 4-wheeler but will never pull over a commercial vehicle.
