Stellar job of parking at Highland Village today:
Hmmm..... this must be how they park down in Jones County.

Looks like downtown Jackson outside the sheriff's office and JPD.
No, then it would’ve been backed into the parking space.
I’ve toyed with the idea of a Twitter account or blog devoted to bad driving in Jackson. Maywood Mart always has that going on . Yesterday there were 3 wrecks between High St. and Lakeland. Noon. Sunny. Dry.
If you'll look closely, the vehicle on the left is actually over the line and the one on the right is crowding the line. For the car in the middle to park in either open space would have subjected it to dented doors and fenders. I don't blame him for parking the way he did.
that vehicle had a jones county tag on it..................country come to town
Probably driven by some Northeast Jackson country club type who shops and chats all day while her husband is whatever he is at some law firm, bank or in medicine. Last Friday I was at Highland Village, waiting for a car to back out of a parking space, waiting with my signal on, and no sooner had the car cleared the space than some rich bitch drove right into the space. I gave her the one finger salute and a long push on the horn, which she saw and heard. Bet it had been a while since she got that treatment. Some years ago I was at Char and some asshole parked his Mercedes over two spots like this, so I left him a very nice message under his windshield wiper informing him, among other things, that if he did not know how to properly park a car he had no business driving one, much less a Mercedes.
Who cares?
Slow news day. Where are some drive-bys when you need them? Come on Jacktown thugs. We are depending on you.
What type of vehicle is this? Remind me what town is in Jones co?
I’ve noticed that some parking lots seem to have their lines too close...very narrow parking spaces. I should start measuring them.
I'm with 9:12 ---- Folks get worked up about the dumbest things; imagine how peaceful y'all's lives would be if you just laughed at stuff like this instead of deciding that you need to get personally offended by perceived injustice you witness.
It's a few parking spots people ---- find another spot and get on with your life; or better yet, take as many spots as you damn well please!
I'll bet this driver had a wheelchair in the back seat, and that people with fake handicap tags had Grinched all the handicap parking spots. Something like this would have been his or her only option. Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to judge without all the facts.
@8:52
“whatever he is at some law firm”
I’m sorry the country club won’t let you in, but it’s nothing personal, we just have a strict “No Insecure Rednecks” policy.
The car on the left is parking. It will eventually park correctly in the space.
8:52 pm I share your frustration with bad and discourteous drivers but not your reaction or judgment.
I'm certain that the bad and discourteous behavior you describe is equally found in all socio-economic classes. I have experience it first hand.
Exhibiting equally rude behavior in response is not likely to accomplish anything.
Shaking one's head in disbelief after blowing the horn if you must, gets some look of shame back every once and a while.
You seem to equate all "rich bitches" in expensive cars as the same. Some of us were well schooled in good manners, including the etiquette of travel, whether it's by car, plane, train or horseback.
I have some sympathy for the auto in the photo above. My cars have all suffered the careless person who throws open his car door without regard to the vehicle beside him or her, or who scratches or dings the sides of my car with carts or objects they are carrying.
Class is not defined by money alone. And, some people just are not raised to be thoughtful and considerate of others. Nor, does it seem to be fashionable to aspire to be a lady or a gentleman of character these days.
Rude, insulting, bossy, self-promoting, and showing off is " in". Money and winning the only things we admire these days. But, I think those without money err in mimicking the same behaviors as those they resent.
I'm with you 8:42 pm. I'd add that...
Life isn't fair. But, if you can control your anger and use it judiciously, think before you speak or write, understand that life isn't fair , that all people don't share your beliefs even of what is or isn't acceptable behaviors, that you don't know everything, that rules and manners usually exist for a reason that could still be applicable, and that remembering the lies you've told is harder than being truthful, life will be easier.
You are also less likely to have insomnia or indigestion if you face the above realities.
By the way, I have seen handicapped people take up two spaces when no handicapped ones are left. They are doing the drivers on either side a favor as well as they get out walkers or wheel chairs.
8:52 - the jealousy is strong with you. Did you ever take a moment to think of all the folks lined up behind you while you selfishly wait for a spot that’s maybe 100’ closer? Get over it...anyway, a few more steps wouldn’t kill any of us.
"I'm certain that the bad and discourteous behavior you describe is equally found in all socio-economic classes. I have experience it first hand."
Who gives a shit what you've experienced, 10:36? You missed out on multiple promotions because your a dick. No other reason. Stop posting, please.
Best of Jackson Jambalaya.
Thank you Kingfish for keeping us informed and thank your commenters for keeping us entertained.

Well said. you have stated my views as well. Keep up the good postings, despite the view of 5:12. I feel sorry for that hate filled person.

I think your "station in life" is a direct result of your crappy attitude. You not only would you miss out on promotion opportunities, you most certainly would NOT be an employee for very long. Life isn't fair, not everyone has money-get over it and get over yourself.
21 Comments on how a car is parked....its obvious that you all have too much time on your hands.
Can't we find something fun to bitch about, like Troopers, MBN, DPS, Gaming Commission, or the State Auditor?
