Taggart Takes a Shot

Andy Taggart, yes, THE Andy Taggart, qualified to run in the Republican primary for Attorney general today.

He's a good man and would do a great job. But boy is he preachy.

Anonymous said...

That hurts Fitch big.

What a good Christian man, but what a flawed view of Donald Trump and conservatism. Despite his twitter rants, I will still vote Andy.

Runoff almost guaranteed. Fitch is a shoe-in but who will she meet in runoff? Baker has broad name recognition in the Brandon metro area but unknown outside of Rankin County. Andy, an ardent anti-Trumper, is known in R circles but little name recognition outside of political circles. I’m not a big Taggart fan but he’s smart and aggressive. Baker is a hot-headed, wind-bag. Fitch not my favorite either but she will probably be our next A.G.

Anyone but Taggart.

Wow. A Democrat running in a Republican primary.

Andy "Anti-Trump" Taggart will become supportive of the President now. Bet on it.

Anonymous said...

No, this does not hurt Fitch at all. Unfortunately, Andy has a messiah complex. He thinks some higher power has anointed him to run.

Given Taggart's last minute scam with D.I. Smith in the Madison County supervisors race, he's a better fit in the Communist Party.

Between Waller & Taggart we will see if GOD wants strong Christians to run Mississippi. Or, if ole Red Legs (i.e.Devil) has power over this earthly sod.

But, I retract the above statement, since, I know not how Christian strong the other CANDIDATES are.

Indecision is the inkling of Fear.

I'm no great thinker, I just saw this on the Music Choice Channel Soundscapes.

Reckon Jere Nash will help him campaign? Two peas in a pod.

I wouldn't trust anyone who has been on the Mississippi College Board of Trustees.

Wow. A Democrat running in a Republican primary.

What are you talking about in a surprised minor. Fitch has been in the race for a while - and with her backing from Mike Moore and Jim Hood, along with their trial lawyer buddies financing her campaign (since mama-in-law won't let her use daddy's money this time) she qualifies as the real democrat in the repub primary.

Andy is the game changer for republicans, a gift from God. He's the only republican that can get democrats to cross party lines. Rightous leaders is what Mississippi needs.

Andy?!? WTH??? How dare you! I was a supporter of yours for years. Still like you and Karen personally. But your last minute filiing games (and withdrawals) left you with zero respect. My support is with Lynn. Step aside, sir! You have a lot of nerve.
P. S. 7:47 you are out of your mind. Democrat?? Lynn has my support, even though she is too conservative on gun control and in her following of Trump.

Several of Haley's Boyz are running this time around.

The only reason Andy doesn’t like Trump is because Andy has a moral backbone.

Mississippi is not easy to predict but Andy running is just the move God needs to expose the evils and direct the people toward the joys of safety, protection and fathering, for all might I add. Not for the crooks. For the good of people. Oh yeah he's going to treat his employees right!

Lots of posts on here about morals, Christianity and character. I submitted a post that countered that crap and it didn't make the cut - and rightfully so. Not sure if this one will or not, but Andy is NOT what several of you chirpers are claiming him to be. Carry on.

3:45 pm The only people I've ever heard accuse others of being " preachy" or " of lecturing" are those who are closed minded and can't defend their own closely held beliefs i.e. they are usually poorly educated or intellectual light weights.

After the bullshit Taggart pulled with the supervisors election I would think he's lots any credibility he once had. He's a blithering idiot now.

Anonymous said...

Andy is a big mouth “do as I say” guy. He’s not a true conservative and will not win.

Next!

Anonymous said...

That'll do it for Baker. Save your money. You won't make the run-off now. 20% at best.

Anonymous said...

Do we not have some new talent and why do we continue to pull out the old untalented hacks. Taggert is no where a conservative republican he claims.

Anonymous said...

Taggart draws voters from Finch, not Baker.

Anonymous said...

Taggart is no conservative by Reagan or Trump standards (which are both unique), but he is FAR more conservative than Lynn Fitch- and that is a fact. She is closet pro-choice and would be a disaster. Andy is better than she is.

Anonymous said...

I just wonder if any of you brilliant posters would claim ownership of your comments by telling us who you are?

Anonymous said...

Taggart plateaued during the Fordice administration. Think about how long ago that was. And the last time he made even a minimal splash he was arguing on TV with that silly bitch, Nash.

anonymous said...

I have known Andy and Lynn for 40 years and Mark somewhat for about 30. I will vote for Lynn, because I encouraged her to run and pledged my vote.
That being said, Andy would be an excellent AG. Good man. I wish him well.

Anonymous said...

We haven't had a true conservative in this post for years. Why is one required now to win? Mississippi continued to vote for Hood over a slew of "true conservative" opponents. I appears that for AG post, being a "true conservative" really doesn't matter. Whether I vote for him or not, this just got interesting.

Anonymous said...

Baker. Is. Toast.

Anonymous said...

Taggart needs attention more than anyone, next to Nic Lott. Both anti-Trump. Taggart shut his Facebook page down so no one will go back and read it. To bad he forgot about Twitter. All screen shot and ready to go.

I lost Andy when he was state chairman for Democrat John Kasich’s presidential run-

Anonymous said...

His law firm must be failing, so he's looking for a new gig. What has this guy ever done that makes him worth one vote?

Anonymous said...

Lynn is not conservative or smart, Andy is a hypocrite, at least with Baker what you see Is what you get!
I vote for the real deal, Baker. He may be somewhat hard to get along with, but he is smart, aggressive, and honest.

cholly said...

I always get a kick out of anonymous posters who call people cowards for posting anonymously.

Anonymous said...

Baker “may be somewhat hard to get along with”. That’s like saying AOC is somewhat liberal.

Andy is the reason that Hwy 463 didn’t get widened out to Annandale by MDOT. Andy led the charge to stop this project as supervisor along with stopping MDOT from building the Reunion Parkway interchange when both projects were funded by the state. Andy passed resolutions against the 463 project. But Andy is smarter than the rest of us. Just ask him. Thanks for all the congestion Andy. Killing these two projects screwed Madison County.

Anonymous said...

I know all three - well. I'm with Andy and I hope enough others are, as well.
This is certainly going to be an interesting race to follow. I'm guessing Lynn and Andy in a runoff.

Anonymous said...

3:34 - You probably have never heard of the Mannsdale-Livingston Heritage Preservation District, have you? Get a ten year old to show you the Madison County Zoning Ordinance.

Anonymous said...

My 10 year old said that Andy and the board passed a resolution asking Mdot not to do the environmental study if they couldn’t guarantee that the road wouldn’t be widened past Annandale. So Mdot took their funds elsewhere. Andy led the charge since this was by his house.
Blame the overlay district all you want.

Anonymous said...

My 10 year also said that the Reunion Parkway Interchange isn’t covered by this overlay district, but I guess you knew that already.
Sure would have been nice for Mdot to have built that with State funds. Stinks that Andy and the board killed this project so now Madison county taxpayers have to pay for it.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.

Kamikaze will perform his new song F*** Bush, he's still a _____. Did I mention there was no referee? Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices.
