There is apparently a run-out-on-the tab artist who has been frequenting the bars lately. This guy was arrested Saturday for stiffing Fenians on a $70 bar tab:
However, due to some good ole-fashioned diligence by a couple of employees, he was caught by JPD down the street:
Bartender had to pay the tab, of course. JPD sources said he had also pulled the same stunt at Fondren Public last week. There are reports on Facebook of two other restaurants he allegedly hit as well. He is from Florida. The accused is said to walk with a limp, use a fake Australian accent, and has tattoos.

To be honest, the bartenders at these places are so hoity-toidy. I am on this guy's side!
Apparently he only has one set of clothes also.
Just another mouth to feed in the county jail. Probably will foot the bill for his mental Rx also.
Fenians workers do tend to be a bit snobby and I never have been able to figure that. I tried to like the place several times but they make it so hard.
FP is a great time.
What a dick. When I was bartender working my way through school, orphan checks were deducted from our pay. And 9:19 and 9:42, who's really the snob? Are you some high maintenance pain in the ass? If you don't like the service you receive don't go there, but folks who work for a living don't deserve to get ripped off.

So it's ok to steal from people who are "hoity-toidy?" Right. Maybe you should sign up to defend this guy in court.
MS Code § 75-73-9 (2013) makes that a FELONY if greater than $25.
One could argue that "be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($ 100.00) and not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($ 1,000.00) or imprisoned in the State Penitentiary for a term of one (1) year, or both" is a bit harsh over $25... but it's our law, nonetheless.
That statute has been used twice in the last century.
9:42 says.....don't be so sensitive. I would never walk out on a tab. I just don't go back to Fenians. They don't act like they appreciate new customers. I call that snobby. jeez with the attitude.

Your job is to serve the customer. I'm sure the owner of Fenian's might disagree with you saying "if you don't like the service you receive, don't go there". There's way too many servers that think that just because they sling booze at a particular bar, they don't have to remember that it is their job to serve the customer. Period.
I'd love some audio clips of the fake Australian accent. I'm wondering if he's halfway-good at it, or cringe-worthy bad.
Likely cringe-worthy bad. Phony bastard.
Bartender had to pay the tab? I doubt it.

Yes, every bartender/waiter/waitress who has a walk out foots the bill. I guess the times you walked out you thought you were sticking it to the man?
After drinking seventy dollars worth of booze, how did he manage to walk down to Walgreens? Is there a video of the 'Australian Shuffle'?
Part of being a good bartender is being able to tell a thief when you see one.
Not all people have that skill. Those that do not should find another occupation where lack judgment does cost them.
