Wonderful. Keep stirring the pot. Love the chaos, anxiety and MH issues associated with a problem that will never attain utter destruction of our society/world. Stay fluffy my little lambs.
Ouch, that’s a lot of new cases. I guess it’s not going to magically disappear in the warmer months like some of the uneducated fake newsers had claimed.
If I tilt my head to the left I can see the decline in the disease. But 'tis just an illusion. The five-day average just continues on it's ever increasing roller coaster ride. I wonder which comes first, 500 confirmed hospitalized or 1,000 total deaths. It's quite a stretch from when the IHME model was predicting less than 400 deaths in Mississippi and 60,000 nationwide before August. We're on track to triple those numbers.
I truly respect the Simpson county officer that was killed last week, but is what I fear comes true, the lack of masks and distancing at his funeral this morning I watched should make that county a hotspot in a week or two.
I appreciate you keeping us updated. Keep it up.
On Sunday/Monday, at least one hospital in Jackson was above capacity for ICU beds.
Or 7 deaths yesterday and 16 sometime between May and June, per death certificates.
Wish the state would tell us how many tests were administered to get 400+ positive hits. 5,000? 10,000? Why not disclose that info daily? For those of you who like to live in fear, both numbers are fairly common for total tested daily. And don’t forget MDH includes positive antibody tests with the daily positive rate, which is stupid. Past infection does nothing to identify current trends.
We may be over Covid, but Covid ain’t over. Folks like 12:37pm will be sure of that.
Covid will never disappear as the masses are hoping. It is a virus and will stay around infecting less and less over time, but never eradicated. Will flare up again. If you think it can be defeated, get on meds.
Do we think Neshoba is due to the casino? And/or the Choctaw population which has higher health problems? Maybe both?
Indian reservation.
The lack of quality care in some of the hospitals in some of these Counties is showing.
4:14 The casinos in Philadelphia have not reopened yet. It is affecting the Choctaw population quite badly though. Fully half the deaths in Neshoba County are American Indian.
