Every time that dude is interviewed he needs to be asked: "what are you lying about now?"

You're smart enough and aware enough to have worked out where we are headed and yet you censor any attempts to discuss or warn people. Anyone with half a brain knew they were misleading the public about the effectiveness of masks. If they weren't effective then why were they making such a big deal about needing them in medical facilities? And not just N95 masks, but surgical masks as well.

The bottom line is masks do work to prevent the spread of any infectious respiratory disease. We knew they were being misleading back then and it is good of them to admit it now. Too bad they gave ammunition to the ignorant anti-mask crowd to seize on the argument that "masks don't stop you from getting the virus" rather than the applicable "masks help prevent others from spreading the virus".

That is why saying "if you're at risk just wear a mask" is absolutely wrong. The people who need to wear a mask are those that are infected, and with COVID better than 80% of them can be infectious before showing symptoms if they even show symptoms at all.

Until this China Virus dies down just wear a mask in public, no big deal.

It's sad how easily the sheeple are manipulated. Bleating the buzz words "unprecedented" and "alone together" followed by "uncertain times" makes me cringe. The mass stupidity is the real disease we should fear.

Listen, nothing about this is unprecedented. It is history repeating. People should know plagues happen every century. This is especially true for Mississippians who should already know parts of their family tree are buried in Yellow Fever cemeteries all over the state.

The talking heads are just as dim. Do they really think people would have voluntarily gone without masks just because they were asked to? We've all been told for months not to horde toilet paper and Clorox wipes yet it it's still hard to find them anywhere.

Here's the problem, they have been violating our trust and it makes it hard to trust them. Fauci has been in his position for a long time and will be there long after Trump leaves office.

Nothing about Covid 19 makes sense. The science is all based on your political beliefs.

Like anyone of us could possibly know the truth about masks. If they work so well, people wearing them should have nothing about which to worry. Once you come out of hiding and remove your masks you better be ready to catch anything else out there because your immune system has not had the chance to work and build up defenses to current pathogens, this is known. Also make sure you never touch your mask with uncovered hands because you implant germs into them that you will now rebreath numerous times and because none can prevent virus penetration this will include covid. Protect the elderly and those with compromised health due to obesity, heart conditions, diabetes and respiratory illnesses. We all need the healthy to go on with their lives to help weaken the virus and to inoculate the herd.

We should absolutely believe the scientist. Why, because they are godlike that's why? They are always right, even when they're wrong. It's those science deniers that are the problem. The ones that deny climate change and that there are 57 different genders. It's probably in their DNA to be science deniers and white supremacists. Illiterate uneducated science deniers. Regardless of how you feel about Dr. Fauci, you've got 125 years of experience showing masks are effective in preventing the spread of disease. Do you think doctors wear masks in surgery to protect themselves? Here's a hint, they do not. They wear masks because it was shown they help prevent the patients getting sick and greatly improved the survival rate. They are undeniably effective at catching the droplets and particles are expelled by the wearer even if they don't provide 100% protection.

@12:53, didn't they just recently say that if you don't have symptoms you are not spreading it? In other words, if you don't have the symptoms, wearing a mask is not protecting anybody.

So doctors are learning as they go. They are not perfect. But I would much rather go to a doctor who admits he's learning something new and applying it, than to be advised by some jackass who refuses to learn something new. If the experts are so bad let's just rely on the politicians for medical advice. We'll all be dead and our problems will be over.

What was initially said by the WHO was asymptomatic spread appeared to be rare, but they had to quickly walk that back the next day by saying what they meant was documented asymptomatic spread was rare but they didn't know what the true rate was because by their nature asymptomatic cases tend to fly under the radar.

It is documented that asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic spread happens even if it may be less common than being spread by someone who is actively coughing. Absence of symptoms does NOT mean you are not infectious.

1) It's called the "practice" of medicine for a reason....but they want everyone to believe they are the high priests of science. 2) Never in history have perfectly healthy people been "quarantined". You weren't quarantined until you got sick. Otherwise - go to work! Obviously the American public is for the most part unable to deal with even the most simple of programs. The Fauci exspurts wanted foremost to protect their professional healthcare professionals by minimizing the public's hysteric rush to buy ppe the way they bought toilet tissue.

Who, with any practical knowledge of the spread of such diseases, not understand that a face mask of any kind would significantly improve the odds of avoiding infection? While mostly avoiding public interaction for many weeks now, from the beginning I have worn "red neck" bandanas and looked like a wild west bank robber when forced to visit a store of any kind. And anyone who defiantly refuses to cover their nose and mouth in public is obviously proud of their stupidity.

Earlier this week there was a person who gave some very good information about why the Dept of Labor (OSHA) hasn’t weighed in on this situation SINCE we are forced to wear these damn things in the workplace. The commenter said they were OSHA 10/30 certified which does make them knowledgeable about the use of N95 masks. Boy! Did he step on a cry baby’s toes. The other commenter ripped into that person and really acted stupid in their comments. Wonder how that rude un knowledgeable person feels now? We have been saying all along that this is all a made up deal to shut down not just the world economy but ours to be exact. Remember, you have to have collateral damage according to how the government thinks. Washington (old school deep state Washington) doesn’t give a damn about us and certain individuals have been trying to make that point for a long time. Just how DID this Fauci guy get his position? I’m shaking my head in bewilderment on this.

For the self-centered miserable people that constantly denigrate those not wearing masks as idiots, stupid, etc., you’ve confused the purpose of a mask. It does nothing to protect the wearer. If you’re crammed around people in a store and you’re the only one wearing a mask, you may as well remove it and breathe deeply because it doesn’t help. Read the cdc information. Masks are far down the list of protective measures. Keeping distance is the top preventative measure. Additionally, delve deeply into the the details - you can’t touch the mask, you have to throw it away or wash it after a single use or you are spreading shit. It looks like the virus can be expelled just by talking or breathing (no cloud of spit to suck in) and the mask is too porous to stop anything other than large droplets. Got an n95 that you hoarded? Hope you put a new one on every time or you’re screwed with all the spit and contaminated droplets on the mask that you handle every day with your contaminated gloves.

Many countries are seeing significant drops in transmission rates. It’s ingnoramuses like the U.S. that are keeping it going completely uncontrolled. My Nurse Practitioner just told me 10 minutes ago that the masks don't prevent a damn thing. Herd immunity will take hold soon enough. Just use common sense - wash your hands regularly, cover your sneeze/cough. Get enough Vitamin C and Zinc in your diet, along with some physical activity and rest.

He also believes the Plandemic was engineered to shut down the American economy and cause civil unrest leading up to the next election that's turning out to likely be a landslide for Trump.

With less than 10% of the American population infected with COVID so far we are a long, long way from herd immunity. Multiply the results so far by at least 10 to see what damage will be done in achieving herd immunity.

Much more likely is the development of an effective therapeutic treatment and/or a vaccine that will greatly reduce the mortality.

As for your nurse practitioner, ask them where they went to school so I can avoid anyone else who graduated from there. He is badly misinformed about basic disease prevention techniques that have been proven effective for well over a century. Does he also use leaches?

I normally don't watch 60 minutes...I record it, then see if there is anything useful...I watched this segment...take from it what you will, but here is the description...there is a text version online in addition to the video..it may not have been man made, but the outbreak was weaponized in one way or the other...via Political or infections...I know a couple of people who were on the front lines & when you are sent in to treat patients with a sheetrock dust mask for protection from bio hazard, it ain't comforting.

If you don't believe this was planned, or some had prior knowledge, watch the CBS 3-8-20 60 minutes episode.  Even 60 minutes let the HORSESHOE BATS out of the bag.  They interviewed Dr Fauci & Also Dr Tom inglesby, an INTERNATIONAL renowned expert on pandemics.  Fauci used one of Inglesby's studies in a press conference on Feb 27, saying it stated the US was prepared for a Pandemic, without even speaking with Dr Inglesby. 

But Inglesby also revealed that in 2019, a few weeks BEFORE the Wuhan outbreak, Dr Ingeslby met with industry leaders & organizations that could be hurt by a pandemic.  They were Airlines, Hotels, The world Bank & the UN.  Also present were representatives from the CDC & officials from the US & China.  They ran a 24 hr simulation of how a global pandemic could play out. Complete with actors portraying News outlets, Governments, fictional travel bans, medical supply shortages & economic freefall.  If you don't believe they knew this was coming before it was revealed, watch this 60 minutes segment. 

The study that Fauci provided without Inglesb's prior knowledge, actually said NO County in the world was prepared.  Inglesby was suprised to see his study held up & its content not fully disclosed.  Fauci has been Scientific Advisor for every president since Reagan in 1984, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush W, Obama & supposedly Trump.  Yet Fauci didn't consult Inglesby.

The only way Dr Fauci could serve so many diverse Administrations is...he is also an outstanding politician.
