But War to Continue
CMU claimed victory over Rudy Warnock in Federal court today. Madison County Engineer Rudy Warnock sued Canton Municipal Utilities for $6.3 million in U.S. District Court on in 2017. Mr. Warnock claimed CMU breached three contracts with his company. CMU hired Mr. Warnock as its sole engineer in August 2016 but terminated him a few months later. U.S. District Judge Halil Ozerden granted CMU's motion for summary judgment today.
The complaint states that CMU and Warnock Engineering entered into several agreements: water & sewer system improvements (November 8, 2016), General Engineering Services (January 4, 2016), and water & sewer system facility improvements (October 7, 2016). He alleges the cost of the contracts to be $6.3 million.
However, the CMU board underwent some reshuffling and the new powers on the board decided to terminate Mr. Warnock's relationship with the board. Thus began the War Between the Blackmons and the Warnocks. The case became filled with sensational allegations as Mr. Warnock accused CMU Commissioner Cleve Anderson of trying to shake him down for bribes and offering to have Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler and Madison County Journal reporter Michael Simmons whacked for $10,000 each. Both individuals are still alive.
The two sides traded licks in state and federal court until Judge Ozerden ruled for CMU today. He said CMU had the right to terminate Warnock's contracts and there was no retaliation against the engineer for reporting alleged illegal conduct. The Court also ruled CMU was not properly served with a notice of claim before the lawsuit was filed.
Although CMU won today, the court fight continues. Mr. Warnock said he will appeal the ruling to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Warnock just wont go away.....he's like a bad rash.
Move along, nothing new to see here! Just two foxes fighting over the hen house. Rudy’s gonna Rudy where ever he goes and the blackmons gonna Blackmon. These 2 characters been aren’t afraid to go low.
Warnock and Blackmons-two hemorrhoids!
the Junk Yard Dog lost a loser-leave-town match. After he left, a masked wrestler know as Stagger Lee arrived. Ted Dibiase was furious, claiming the masked wrestler was really JYD. Admittedly, Stagger Lee's build, posture, mannerisms, wrestling moves, etc. were eerily similar to those of JYD. Dibiase and others tried to unmask Stagger Lee but were unsuccessful. When the "leave town" clause from the loser-leave-town match expired, Stagger Lee disappeared and JYD returned. Damn, that was some high drama back in those days. I was glued to the TV every Saturday.
Warnock and Blackmons are a cancer on Canton.
Man that was great. We he took off the mask, Jimmy Hart went nuts!
This is not the end of Rudolph. If Banks manages to stay in office, Rudy will be back in the room.
