A pet giant mouse escaped down in the Hattiesburg area. The following message and video was posted on Facebook.
Last seen Tuesday night near Kingsmill/Cole Rd & 4th Street! This is Jeff. He’s a Wallaby (small Kangaroo). If anyone sees him around town in Hattiesburg please let me know. He’s friendly, just scared. Yes he’s a pet and yes it is legal. He belongs to some friends of mine and he just got out of their fenced in yard and they aren’t in town to deal with this. He’s well taken care of and any information would be greatly appreciated. If you have any information you can contact the Humane Society or Kayla Marie Graham at 6015433583

All these deer hunters in Hattiesburg will have a new trophy to put on their wall.
Too funny! Sylvester might argue about that "he's friendly" part.

That mini kangaroo is going to kick someone's ass.
Get behind them. I think Daniel Tosh said that in a stand up.
It is not a rodent, you ninny, it is a marsupial. A wallaby. For once, the Clarion Ledger got to the (non) story ahead of JJ. Redardless, I fail to see why this is news, on any site. If you have a pet, for God's sake, make sure there is no way it can get out. If it does, it's your fault, and you deserve to lose it.
Did they catch this damned thing yet?
Who cares. Seriously.
They taste like chicken but are a little tough.
kingfish....does this headline harken to the classic warner brothers cartoons?well played.
Someone never saw Bugs Bunny cartoons as a kid.
Thus my post, KF, but some people just seem to have no sense of humor.
