The Mississippi Department of Corrections issued the following press release:
MDOC Seeks Parolee Who Escaped Rankin Office Today
JACKSON – Parolee Michael Lester Morgan is being sought by the Mississippi Department of Corrections after he escaped the Rankin County Probation and Parole Office in Pearl earlier today.
Morgan, 44, #102516, escaped after having a revocation hearing related to his arrest in Hinds County on Dec. 3 on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, violation of traffic ordinances, and possession of a controlled substance.

Morgan was noticed missing before 11:30 a.m. from the Probation and Parole Office on Highway 468. He may have gotten into a 4-door gray or silver Acura sedan, for which the license plate is not immediately available.
If you see him, please contact your local authority immediately or MDOC at 662-745-6611.

Information says he escaped TODAY, 2/5 but then says he was noticed missing prior to 11-something a.m. Either he escaped yesterday or somebody needs to wind their clock.

Why was this dude ever on parole?
How can law enforcement make any money if they keep the criminals locked up? How can the lawyers make money if the criminals are locked up?
Crime is money making but if you lock up the criminals you loose money as long as they are in jail.
MDOC is the second most incompetent agency. who was guarding? we pay the people we need to protect as the least: guys potting holes make more. We need good locks and good people with keys...
5:49, the important word is GOOD. Most of the time we have the same type people doing the guarding as we have being guarded.
