Our favorite psycho is back in the news again. Madison County constable Matt Shackelford pressed stalking charges against Raymond Ethan Thomas. His affidavit states that Mr. Thomas was parked in front of his house. Mr. Shackelford arrested Thomas in May for charges pressed by his wife. The couple are seeking a divorce in Madison County. Thomas was charged with witness intimidation and larceny-trespass after
he went onto his wife's property and took her two golden retrievers. He
is currently free on bond. Mrs. Thomas filed for divorce against Mr.
Thomas in March. Mr. Thomas has several past scrapes with the law.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on June 29, 2015 and bond was set at $2,000. He is not currently in custody at the Madison County jail.
Kingfish note: Don't click on that mouse. There is more. Mr. Thomas's mother is suing his wife for possession of the dog. Yes, Becky Pyron filed an action for replevin against Lindsay Thomas in Madison County Justice Court.

Ahhh yes, divorce does tend to bring out the meanness in most people.
Why would he stalk a constable working his case? This sounds fishy. Kingfish, what part of the story aren't you telling us?
He want be constable long, Brad will take his spot.
Everybody needs to read the story closely. Guy is going through a divorce. Why do people spy on the spouse? Where was he seen spying and on whom? Court records will show why Eventually. Everyone at the courthouse already knows why.
Street in front of the constable's apt is a public street. Unless it's zoned no parking, no case. Why the hell do they still have constables and justice of the peace in Mississippi anyway?
7:39; That's an easy one. They keep the window tint people in business.
@6pm he "won't" be constable for long because Brad Harbour is going to dominate at the polls on Aug.4. Matt Shacksalot is an idiot for getting caught up in this trash.
Free Pot!
Where?
Actually the law enforcement officers that do help deal with the really bad criminals are anything but idiots. Brave, honorable, and doing the job for the right reasons, yes .... But not idiots. Shackelford is exactly the type we need as a constable. The people of Madison Co are smarter than to believe or be fooled by actions of a criminal that has an established history and all should be happy that we have law enforcement willing to take a stand against the bad people in the world.
Thomas was also wearing a GPS ankle bracelet as part of a condition of his earlier bond.
7:39, thanks for playing, but wrong. People can be stalked in malls, restaurants, school buildings, city hall, courtrooms and pool rooms. Nothing special about a 'public street' that would preclude a stalking charge. You can also be stalked on the internet, which is rather public.
I believe this will be first time Matt has had an opponent since he's been constable. Unless Raffield ran against him once.
If we get rid of Constable and Justice Court offices it will reduce the signage during election cycles. Double win.
Wonder if Brad will do as well in this race as he did when he ran for sheriff?
Matt works very hard for the citizens of Ridgeland. As constable's go he is aggressive and omnipresent. Brad on the other hand is an unknown. Who knows how he will approach the job, will it be a secondary concern or will he a front line responder. Matt has shown his intent, matt definitely supports Madison law folks.
Oh yeh Matt's a real crime fighter. He hands those notices out with a skilled hand. I most be the only one who can't get him to serve people before the hearing date. His his campaign motto should be "proven service a week late".
8:17 must be joking. How (and doing what) does a constable work very hard for the citizens? And what duty requires him to be aggressive and omnipresent? He serves papers at the behest of court personnel and certain others. All constables, however, are aggressive and omnipresent at the tint shops as soon as they get elected. Talk about 'little dick syndrome'. All they lack is monster tires on the black muscle cars. These pecker heads aren't even required to go to traffic-directing class.
Again....why is this bastard out on bond still? He has now committed 3 acts that violate the bond in Alabama where he stole over $200,000. This sob and his mom need to be dealt with ASAP. This guy doesn't work and his mom perpetuates his behavior.
12:44 are you stupid or just slow. It's pretty clear to everyone on here that the "3 acts" that your referring to we're all brought by Shackelford against the guy, for the exact reason of trying to violate his bond. How do you know he doesn't work? Sounds like you might be the real stalker or maybe his ex. Oh no I've got it, you must be the Tint Shop owner, business is booming!!
7:47 and 12:44 let me give you two legal geniuses a crash course in law 101. First, you can't steal something that is marital property, ie 2 dogs, if your still married. That's a Chancery court matter, just because she had them before marriage doesn't mean squat. Second, you can't intimidate an incompetent witness. Being she's his wife and that she is not a witness to his crime she can't be called to testify, ergo she's not a witness to anything and can't be intimidated. Third, "stalking" in Miss under 97-3-107 states he must have "repeatedly" followed, harassed, or put that person in reasonable fear. Parking in front of someone's house does none of those things. A first year law student could get these BS charges thrown out. Anyone can go down to Justice Court and file any charge they want against anybody. If being charged was all it took to violate someone's bond, nobody would be out, because all you would have to do is just go file some bogus crap against them, just like this. We have a great DA's office in Madison Co and I can assure you they are not stupid enough to pursue a crap case like this. If they did they'll end up looking like idiots bringing this to trial. Y'all should stick to tinting windows and flipping burgers and let the big boys handle this.
The "Big Boys" haven't done crap. That's why you are still out of jail. You have confused your legal knowledge for one of your alter egos. The only people that would defend your side would be you, your mom and your lawyer. No one else that knows anything would defend your actions.
She is a witness to the crimes and so are the parents. If your son has a new Rolex on and doesn't earn enough ,does a wife or parent not say what is this? Or if you bring home $30,000 in atvs...does nobody ask? Or if your wife is washing medical scrubs, but you aren't in that field of work....I would feel certain that his family knew he was up to something with his past crimes alone. I would bet he is a busy guy at the computer making up all the fake badges to fool the police and the people he stole from over the years. This is just basic common sense from what was written in previous comments.
The three acts weren't brought by the constable. Just one. The Madison County Sherrifs office servered the others. The big picture deals with Thomas....you know the long time criminal. Let the constable talk be on another topic.
Nobody is defending the guys actions. The law is clear, you can't steal marital property or stalk someone by sitting in front of their house.
It's clear from your post that your info is coming directly from someone involved, obviously his wife. I'm addressing the legal questions that were posted earlier. You don't have to be his lawyer or family to address the legality of the case.
I understand the issue with taking the dog and that legality. So to a question asked before, why is his $580,000 bond not revoked from the case in Alabama? That is the real question. Anything done while on bond should have revoked the bond. He had a no bond set in Madison already and now is arrested again....I ask because I know of his past actions and the fact that he caused such a scene with the U.S. Marshalls and Madison Sheriffs going to get him when he threated and barricaded himself in our neighborhood.
Like it was said before, anyone can go down to Justice court and file charges against anyone they wish for anything they want to. I could go tomorrow and file charges against you for assault, and you'd be arrested, bond would be set, and you would have to come to court where the facts would be presented and a verdict rendered. Therefore, if all it took was being arrested on a warrant that someone swore out against you, to violate your bond, people would be filing false charges against others all day long, in an attempt to violate their bond, which is I assume, what they were trying to do here. Justice Court never had the authority to refuse him bail before unless it was a violent crime, which this is not. Look this is a pissed off wife in the middle of an obviously contentious divorce, nobody is taking this serious because anyone with half a brain can see what this is. Al is Al, but this has nothing to do with that and is simply a pissed off woman. Hell hath no fury.....
9:45 you are extremely ill informed. The SO has, nor had, anything to do with this matter. Thomas was arrested by Constable Shackelford and brought to the DC per the intake sheet. The following Monday Constable Shackelford brought the first charge and on Tuesday Constable Shackelford personally went to the DA's office and filed the felony charge. All that has ever been done by the SO is serve Thomas with his original divorce papers, only after Constable Shackelford was unable to serve process and Deputy Sullivan handed Thomas his arrest papers in the Justice Court holding cell, where Thomas was being held after constable Shackelford personally arrested him. The Madison Co SO is in no way affiliated with constable Shackelford nor responsible for his actions. He is an elected officer of the court and is not an agent of the MCSO. The repercussions of constable Shacklefords actions rest solely on his shoulders.
I think she has seen the light and is just trying to get away from him. He didn't bring anything monetarily to that marriage. His parents may have, but he didn't. She was probably the best thing he had and looked after his son. He brings bad wherever he goes.
@8:17 - is he working hard when he's sitting in his patrol car at Ratliff's Ferry drinking cocktails from the bar?
