JPD issued the following statements:
(1) Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 4500 block of Bullard Street.
Shortly before 8:00pm,
Officers responded to the Fuel Time. There, they found a female
suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and later learned that it
happened following an altercation with another female.
The 26-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
A 27-year-old female suspect was located after leaving the scene and was transported for questioning. Her charges are pending.
Investigators are also reviewing store surveillance to determine if the incident was captured.
(2) Jackson Police have made an arrest for the shooting of a female at the Fuel Time on Bullard St.
Police have charged 27-year-old, Brittany Hilliard-Ransom with
Aggravated Assault. Ransom appeared in court for her initial appearance
and was denied bond.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been release, remains in very critical condition.

(3) Jackson Police have learned that the shooting victim from the Fuel Time on Bullard Street has died.
The victim is identified as 26-year-old, April Spell.
The suspect, 27-year-old, Brittany Hilliard-Ransom, was charged
with Aggravated Assault for the shooting. Her charge will now be
upgraded to Murder.

Deceased is April Spells with an s on the end. Her Facebook page is what you might expect.
That hyphenated last name make her sound so RIIIIICH!
