The Mississippi Department of Public Safety issued the following statement.
A body believed to be that of Tennessee double homicide suspect Casey James Lawhorn, 22, has been located in a wooded area of Jasper County. The body has not been positively identified but was found about 100 yards from Lawhorn’s abandoned car at the 118 mile marker of Interstate 59. Several law enforcement agencies on the local, state and federal level have been in the search for Lawhorn. He used social media to announce he had murdered his mother and a friend yesterday morning in East Ridge, Tennessee. The investigation is on-going.
This is his Facebook rant. Some of the passages are missing. Read ahead at your own risk.

"Well, bye"
The following adjectives describe the Facebook post of this young man to me: upsetting, cold, articulate, detailed, calculating, sad.
Not anything else for me to say other than I sincerely hope people around this young man's brother truly help the brother in the aftermath of this terrible event.
Damn!
I find his suicide to be oddly honorable.
Don't misconstrue: it would have been preferable had he not murdered anyone to begin with.
Writes well. Sounds lucid but deranged. Now dead.
"P.S., I was wrong about that 'talking to the sky' thing."
I can understand someone wanting to kill themselves and end a painful life, etc. What I don't understand is why someone who has made the decision to end his/her life has to go out and take out others beforehand. If one absolutely just has to do something, why not just kill yourself and let others control their own destiny? It is all very sad and tragic.
This is what a true psychopath sounds like: "barely felt anything".
His mom was a drunk and friend a heroin addict. I don't hear of a father in the picture(seems like that is a reoccurring theme in troubled teens), seems like there's a good possibility of more to come of the situation like other drugs or meds.
"After life's fitful fever, he sleeps well."
Maybe if murder were illegal this wouldn't have happened.
Posting his manifesto just allows him to win, even in death.
Soon to be a movie on the Lifetime Movie Network.
4:21 PM, perhaps it is giving a voice to someone who sought attention by committing heinous acts...or it may also bring some sort of understanding as to why this guy did it. It will put many theories to bed on the other hand.
It doesn't seem like he had a grand cause or anything else to promote by posting this. It seems like it was just his last statement before stepping into the fiery abyss. But, at the end of the day, this world lost a junkie, a drunk and a suicidal teen....not the world's worst outcome if you ask me.
5:49, you said it quite succinctly. Let the dead bury the dead.
The boy posted that his mom 'came home wasted', which translates to a worthless drunk whose life was of no value, according to a few of you. That's interesting.
What a sad commentary on what we as humans are capable of doing not only to ourselves but others as well. As a Christian anytime I hear of a death, I find myself first thinking about their salvation. Did they have a relationship with our Lord and Savior? Did they believe in an eternal life spent in either Heaven or Hell? Or were they like this young man, hopeless and deranged. I feel great sorrow for lives lost no matter what the circumstances are, especially when it means they might spend an eternity in hell.
11:27 - You're obviously not Catholic since the Pope has decreed there is no hell.
