JPD issued the following statement:
On Monday, September 19, 2016, at approx. 10:09 PM, Jackson Police Officers responded to the area of Lynch St. near Arbor Vista Blvd. regarding a shooting. Upon officers’ arrival, it was learned that a male subject identified as Justin Tillman had been shot multiple times in the street. He was transported to UMMC for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
At approx. 10:45 PM, officers responded to Baptist Hospital regarding a shooting. Upon officers’ arrival, it was learned that two subjects had been shot. They are identified as Fredrick Harper, 18 and D’Juanya Carter, 19. They had both been shot multiple times and were later transferred to UMMC for medical treatment. They are both stable at this time.
During this investigation, it was learned that Harper and Carter were at Boston Fish, 2230 Lynch St. sitting in a silver Toyota Camry along with Justin Tillman. A black male occupying a black Lexus approached them, exited the vehicle and began firing shots into their vehicle.
Subsequently, they were injured. Allegedly, one of the victims returned fire at the suspect as the suspect fled. They later drove themselves to Baptist Hospital for medical treatment.
At approx. 11:34 PM, officers responded to Merit Health regarding a shooting. Upon officers’ arrival, it was learned that a subject identified as Christopher Gunn, Jr., 18, had been shot. He sustained non-life threatening injuries to his arm and back, he is in stable condition. Investigators learned that he was dropped off at this location by an unknown driver operating a black Lexus. The vehicle fled the location. The description of this vehicle matched the description of the vehicle involved in the shooting on Lynch St. Gunn also matched the description of the alleged suspect as well.
This is the city’s 48th homicide for 2016. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any further information regarding this incident is urged to call police at 601-960-1234 or 601-355-TIPS.

Don't these people know that Jackson's violent crime is way down? BLM will be on this like white on rice(no pun intended).

We just picked up a police report for an aggravated assault and house burglary and the offense is listed as robbery of an individual.
These fake stats are not fooling anyone. Sure do not fool people in other areas who have to drive through Jackson. Doesn't even fool the people in Jackson. Really, the people in Jackson do not care as they are the people committing the crimes the law enforcement falsify.
Another person found dead and a stand off just a little ways down the same street. Wonder if these will ever see the stats sheet?
