The city of Jackson issued the following press release:

Department of Public Works crews will continue Thursday to repair a number of water main breaks that occurred in Jackson’s Belhaven area.
The breaks have been

as necessary. So far, notices have been issued
for Greymont Avenue, addresses 1100 to 1299; Peachtree Street,
addresses 1500 to 1899; Howard Street; Euclid Avenue, address 900 to

3rd world country.
Jackson is miserable
Much money is spend on these matters with nothing being done for the money.
9:36, are you aware that Madison has had boil water notices in the past?
Communities have water breaks and boil water notices all the time. What concerns me about Jackson's is that the water was brown throughout the night in areas other than the streets so far getting boil water notices--it was brown in areas even beyond the Belhaven neighborhood. I don't know much about water lines, but it seems odd to limit the boil water notices to certain street addresses on certain streets that are not even adjacent to each other. If pressure dropped on both Howard and Peachtree, wouldn't it have also dropped on Linden, Belvoir, etc.?
Water was brown downtown this morning.
